The Space:
Bush by the Bay by Tiny Away is located in Booral on the Fraser Coast, just 8 minutes from River Heads for boat tours and stunning waterfront views, 11 minutes from Urangan’s excellent fishing spots along the Great Sandy Strait, and only 20 minutes from the calm, family-friendly beaches of Hervey Bay.
This pet-friendly + family-friendly holiday home is super easy to get to, with parking right out front. It backs onto peaceful bushland, so you can enjoy privacy, sunsets through the gum trees, and birds singing all around.
Inside the cozy 190-square-foot tiny home, there’s a comfy queen bed, a ground-floor sofa bed, easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette with electrical stove top and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower for hot water.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to our cozy tiny home and the front 2 acres of the property (no access behind the host's house). There's room for kids to play, a trampoline, and plenty of parking for boats or jet skis.
The Neighborhood:
Bush by the Bay by Tiny Away, located on the Fraser Coast, offers easy access to nearby attractions like whale watching (from mid-July to late October at Urangan Marina), day trips to Fraser Island (K'gari), and various events and entertainment in Hervey Bay, with more details provided by your host upon arrival.
For outdoor fun, Esplanade Parks has multiple parks and playgrounds, including the spacious Sea Front Oval with picnic areas and BBQs. In Pialba, there’s also a water park, skate park, and an all-abilities playground along the esplanade.
Getting Around:
By car:
- Traveling within the Fraser Coast area is easy, with two main roads—Main Street and Boat Harbour Drive—running parallel to the ocean, providing access to all suburbs of Hervey Bay.
By public transport:
- There is no train service in the area.
- Local buses and bus stops are located in the main town centre.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Outdoor fire pit is available except for a total fire ban
- We have occasional wildlife in the area, please be mindful of your pets
- Pets are allowed with prior notice (up to 2). Pet policies will be provided before your arrival
- Optus and Vodafone offer good coverage, while Telstra, 2degrees, and Spark may have limited signal.
Important note:
- Please note that the host has a small dog at the back of the property
- Smoking is allowed outdoors, but please dispose of cigarette butts in the provided bins
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- To maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilet, a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
