"The property was generally as advertised and we didn't experience any issues getting settled in.The 3 star review is due to host unresponsiveness after the refrigerator failed halfway through our stay. Luckily, we were not intending to cook at the house during our stay - but we were still using it for beverages and coffee creamer. We reported the issue on the morning we discovered it. I received an automated reply about 12 hours later. Despite a few more inquiries, I never received any substantial response.It left me wondering how a more severe or safety critical issue would have been handled.No direct host contact is available, it's all through the Red Awning service. Regardless of whether the communication breakdown was with the host or the intermediary, I was left unsupported."

"We booked the cabin for our Thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed every minute of it! The drive to the cabin was gorgeous. The property was amzaing with an excellent view and access to Boone Lake. The cabin had everything we needed; cookware, towels, extra pillows and blankets (even snacks and games). We look forward to our next stay at Deer Lick Cabin! "

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The property is comfortable and cozy, and located in a quiet location near the end of a cul-de-sac. The highlight is the deck overlooking the lake, so nice for enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine in a peaceful setting with a lovely view of Boone Lake.Owner/management were briskly responsive and helpful when the electronic door entry lock proved to be a challenge.We hope to stay here again!Would recommend "
