Beautiful cabin close to downtown Boone

This beautifully wood paneled cabin is nestled in the heart of the blue ridge mountains. It is located close to town and is the perfect retreat for couples or families seeking escape from hot summer days, or simply want to relax! Walking in you will be greeted by beautiful vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light! The living room is equipped with a beautiful fireplace, and a HD TV. In the kitchen you will find top of the line stainless steel appliances perfect for cooking! Both bedrooms have on suite bathrooms, tvs with Roku/Firestick for streaming and plenty of storage. With two queen beds 4 can sleep comfortably. Reasonably priced and tailored to vacationers' desires, Mountain Mystique is the perfect retreat cabin for you!

*Please note: Roxanna St is a gravel mountain road. There is a steep area near the top. During inclement weather a 4 wheel drive and/or chains may be needed. No refunds due to weather conditions. If you don't feel comfortable driving up, you can park at the bottom and walk up to the cabin (approximately 1/4 mile)

*NO pets; only officially trained service animals are allowed.

*There is one security camera located by the main entrance, allowing view of the driveway and entry door. There are no cameras located inside the house.

*There is a gun range off Castleford Rd

All was fine with the cabin. It’s alittle too far up the mountain for old folk to get to. We had perfect weather and the view from the porch was pretty.

It was a wonderful accomadatiin. A little challenging mountain roads but to be expected in the end, not far from town. Was able to go rafting and tubing. Saw deer right on the wooded property and enjoyed the visiting hummingbirds . A great place for our get awsy

Wonderful Home away from Home

This house was amazing in so many different ways! We saw so much wildlife and enjoyed the view! We really appreciated the consideration the host took for guests! Not only did they have a beautiful sitting area to enjoy to the scenery but they also have games, movies and all the necessities you could think of! We will definitely be returning to this lovely home away from home!

Perfect spot close to Boone for a Getaway

Mountain Mystique was a perfect, quiet getaway near Boone. The town was only 15 minutes away, but we enjoyed being up high with nice view through the trees. Inside was well kept, comfortable and homey. Great base for our vacation.

Trip to see Fall Colors

Christmas Getaway

We spent a couple days here before Christmas with our boys and absolutely loved it! The house is so cozy and wonderfully decorated for Christmas. The kitchen is well stocked. Far enough out of town to feel like you’re secluded but close enough to enjoy all the things Blowing Rock & Boone have to offer. We were sad to leave!

A wonderful get-away!

I spent two nights at Mountain Mystique to visit with my son over the Thanksgiving holiday. I could not have asked for better accommodations! The cabin was very clean when we arrived and I felt at home immediately. The ambiance was sp very warm, and peaceful. I hope to return to Mountain Mystique within the year!

Boone visit

My family went to Boone for your daughter’s App State orientation. The cabin was the perfect plans to relax after our day of exploring Boone and the App State campus. The location was very quiet and peaceful, but close enough to the town of Boone for our daily activities. We look forward to coming back.

Great Relaxing Place

I have spent a lot of time in Boone and Blowing Rock over the years and this was a great place for us. The location is close to everything and it is very peaceful. It was my wife and I and our adult daughter and her husband. The house is a perfect layout for that with bedroom bathroom upstairs and downstairs. It was a great trip and we will be back to stay here again.

Wonderful time

This house was a cozy, lovely place to stay. They had plenty of nice things to enjoy such as a grill, fireplace, porch lighting, tv access, full bath, and lots of kitchen amenities. My partner and I had the best time and would definitely recommend. The driveway was a Bit of a challenge at first but it’s was worth being up in the woods for.

Driveway was a little more steep that I thought. But my front wheel drive didn't make it up.need AWD

It was peaceful, cozy, relaxing, just all around beautiful place to stay. Looking forward to staying in this beautiful cabin again in the future. Had everything you needed from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The grill was a plus for cooking out on a back deck. Love the rocking chairs and watching the hummingbirds feed.

Perfect getaway and great hosts

House was in a great location and only 15 minutes from Boone. Very nice cabin with fire place and well stocked with everything we needed. We went up on a snowy weekend 6+inches of snow and could have asked for a better time. Owners were in touch several times to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. Highly recommended.
