"Nous avons été accueilli tres chaleureusement avec un bon verre de jus de pommes maison ! Nous avons eu de beaux échanges sur l'histoire de Soulosse et bien d'autres sujets ! Le petit déjeuner " Maison" Nous a fait regretter de ne passer qu'une seule nuit ! Merci grandement aux hotes si sympathiques ! Nous recommandons fortement cette maison d'hôtes!"

"We stayed here for the second time and had another great experience. Top location if you want to go on motorcycle or bicycle tours from Mauvages. Upon returning, it is lovely to relax in the beautiful garden with friendly neighbors (cows). The house is fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including good bathroom facilities and comfortable beds. The host is very hospitable and accommodating to all requests. For instance, we were able to store our motorcycles in the garage. We would love to come back here again."

"Our check in could be described as perfunctory boarding on the brusque . Upon arrival and pressing the bell we waited a few minutes and someone came along. Didn’t introduce himself or even say “ Welcome etc”, just “what is your name, then your room number is, handed over keys and asked about breakfast. We weren’t even told about the residents lounge ( which we discovered the next morning - a bit too late by then). Rooms were moderately clean, with a couple of spiders and cobwebs in the ceiling corners and in the separate loo. One chair was stained. The bed was softer than expected but that’s down to personal choice. The property was chosen due to its location ( just a few km from motorway), but also for the peace and quiet. Alas, we were disturbed at 1am for about 20 minutes due to noisy restaurant visitors leaving the car park, without any consideration for guests. You can guess - the usual, noisy goodbyes, shouting across the car park and lots of giggling, no doubt after several glasses of wine. Unfortunately my poor French wasn’t good enough to explain the disturbance to the waitress at breakfast. So when you book, make sure to ask for a room facing the car park. Breakfast was the redeeming element as there was a cooked element including sausages, scrambled eggs and bacon. When we checked out there was no enquiry as to ‘did you enjoy your stay’ etc."
