Stop over on way back to Scotland from Switzerland. Arrived late and was still able to get a meal in restaurant . Staff were excellent. Only issue we had they wanted to charge us for breakfast when we had already paid when we booked. Manager sorted it out. Will definitely use the hotel again

Most remarkable hotel !

Most remarkable hotel I ever stayed in ! Cause is highly unlikely to sleep in the midle of the winter in a Deluxe grand room (350€) in a 5 star hotel (who granted them ?) without heating (not bad heating but total lack of heating). And even more remarkable with the hotel manager’s complete knowledge of the situation!!! Would I recommend it ? With certainty and with all my heart…but only on the first of April.

No worth it

Hotel was nice but not at the level of my expectations. I It’s location is nice but I expected it to have abundant of historical decorations but it was more like a nor al hotel. Breakfast coffee tasted like low cost supermarket ones and food quality was so so… but price was 2 times more than standard hotels (I think it was like 30euros). Hotel is not worth the price for me and will not be back again at this price level.

The hotel is located in a fabulous location on top of the hill and in the middle of the forest. It is an historic hotel, with a lot of history and important politicians who stayed at this Grandhotel. However, the hotel seems to still leave a bit in the past and it can be perceived when walking through the corridors. The room was ok, quite spacious and with a very nice bathroom. Unfortunately, not all the details were perfect, like one of the jealousies were not working. It was also impossible to make the room fully dark, given the light coming through the curtains. The pool and the sauna area were ok, just a bit small for a hotel of this importance. Similar vibes were experienced at the breakfast, were a standard buffet is available while the options a la carte are very limited, with some different eggs choice and pancakes. Last but not least, the personnel was generally nice but, not up to the standards compared to other guests: very short check-in information compared to two different guests before us and no water offered at the check out. Moreover, the inner parking was full, and we had to use the outside “free self parking”, which is 12 € daily, with machines not accepting foreign credit cards. In a nutshell, charming hotel in a very nice location but not a full 5 stars treatment.

Schönes Luxushotel in Königswinter

Das Grandhotel ist ein wunderschönes Hotel in Königswinter. Das Zimmer war fantastisch. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Ausblick gebucht. Die Sicht auf den Rhein war herrlich. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls super. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt! Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
