This place was better than we anticipated, which is a pleasant surprise. It’s as nice and clean as the pictures indicate, and has everything you could possibly want. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms well appointed, and the space is used very well-we never felt cramped. The location can’t be beat (for such a vibrant location, it was very quiet) and the online guide made finding recommendations for meals, transportation, atms and just about anything else super easy. We appreciated the elevator (very unusual, and most welcome), as well as the ability to safely store and access our luggage on our last day. The host was responsive and gracious.
On our final day we had a difficult time booking a ride to the airport (the cab company told me that they can’t book cars for pickups on that particular street; I don’t know if that is true, but given how busy the street is, I understand that). Fortunately the host told us the taxi stand was very close, so getting a taxi was no problem-maybe a two minute wait after walking two blocks.
I wouldn’t look anywhere else for lodging if I returned to Bologna (and I hope I do!); this place really has it all!
