We love not just the location itself (quiet, rural) but also the fact that a lot of places are nearby, like Goerlitz and Boleslawiec, or reachable within a few hours. "Das Haus ist in einem schlechten Zustand. Eine Toilette war defekt, die Spüle in der Küche nur einseitig nutzbar und das Bett mussten wir erstmal mit Panzertape reparieren. Es gibt KEINEN Kleiderschrank, also lebt man aus dem Koffer. Die Spinnweben an den Wänden und Decken haben wir erstmal entfernt, aber gegen den Modergeruch ließ sich nichts machen. "As a group of friends visiting from Berlin, we had a fantastic time in Baker's Cottage! Paul was a gracious host (even when we got lost on the way there) and organised a canoeing trip for us which was really good value. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. "We were going to check in and the front desk lady was great, after discussions with her we upgraded to the castle about 200m away and it was amazing. However we rode horses at this location and enjoyed the great pizza and beer. The whole property was very quiet and enjoyable, grass needed to be mowed but still amazing. We also enjoyed the stable employees and riding horses. loved our stay in the castle as well, overall great experince."
