「Characterful thatched inn in countryside location. Comfortable room & good breakfast.」

「The bed was clearly very old as the mattress was lumpy and had a ridge where people before me had slept. The fridge leaked on to the carpet even though there was nothing in there. The pub good was very good though」

「Excellent all around and lovely staff」

「Wonderful location, good dining options and lovely sized clean room」

「Honestly this was the MOST perfect stay for a new forest adventure. i cannot tell you how special this place is you just need to go an experience it for yourself. Special shout out to ALL the staff, they were just as perfect as the room was. thank you thank you thank you. it was a dream.」

「OK room - no air con but understandable give the age of the building. Bed was OK, but traffic noise is noticeable, especially with the window open (remember there is no air con), so not the best nights' sleep. Staff were fantastic though, especially the breakfast server and the breakfast itself was great.」

「Lovely clean large room. Great tv with a superb picture. Plenty of tea / coffee and biscuits welcome tray. We were surprised how quiet our sleep was, the pub below was busy but no sound from it. The decoration of the whole venue is incredible with so much to look at. There is a lot of car spaces but the area is very busy so it’s a bit of a search to find one.」

「Second stay, again excellent all round」

「朝ごはんが美味しかったです!」

「The staff we had contact with were exceedingly helpful and friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food quality was excellent.」

「It's such a nice place in such a charming area. Their thatched roof looks so very cool. Their staff is just excellent, they all take pride in doing an excellent job. I met the sous chef twice, she and her husband (the chef) make a great team. They have a lovely old bar and I took two friends there for the Sunday roast dinner. They have a good sized parking lot. You won't be at all disappointed.」

「Stayed here many times it’s good value nice place to stay with good food」

「Room was very clean and well presented, with all expected facilities. Plenty of parking and welcoming staff. Breakfast provision was not clear when booking but was available to purchase each morning. The menu suggested that continental breakfast was included in the price of all cooked breakfasts but it was not evident. Breakfast was a good portion size and very tasty. Evening meals available at a discounted price and were very filling. These was some evidence of a historic water leak in...

「The hotel is very well run and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms are a decent size. Although it took a while for the water to warm up in the shower. I acknowledge that this is beyond the owner’s control, but my second floor room overlooked a junction and the traffic was noisy . At about 4am a lorry collected the empty glass bottles. The noise of the crash as the glass shattered was shocking. Avoid a roadside room on a Wednesday morning….if you want undisturbed sleep.」

「The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond when were stranded due to the storm and needed to extend our stay. The hotel was clean and facilities were perfect for our stay- thank you!」

「Beautiful room with all that I needed for my overnight stay. I dined in the restaurant, and had breakfast, and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend the Belland Crown.」
