Built in 1920 as a sharecropper's house, it has been lovingly brough back to life. A beautiful retreat from Current Times 1-bedroom house. Nestled in a peaceful setting, guests can unwind in the serene atmosphere, unique with antiques, decor and misc. items like a turn table with ample albums to listen to. The cozy bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, while the living room offers an additional space with a sofa bed for extra guests. Great place to stay when visiting Blanco. Very clean, well maintained, and decorated. Lots of thought into the details and personal care. Comfy bed. Quiet neighborhood and close to everything. Host even left some snacks and note for us. Would love to stay again when visiting next time.

Very nice and relaxing place to stay.

We will surely want to stay there again. Lady has done a great job of refurbishing an old share cropper home. Very well furnished and very comfortable.

We had a great time at Ethyl’s Place. The decor was amazing and the home was comfortable and cozy. Blanco was the perfect base location to explore the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Cute and Centrally Located

Cute home, clean interior, great location, and within a quick drive of several State Parks, local breweries, and local eateries. Comfortable bed, great amenities, and accommodating host. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We loved this house … so cute and cozy! Love the history and the location is perfect … right off of Main Street and just a couple of miles from the town square. Deb is a great host and the house has everything you might need.

The property was so charming and cozy. The bed was super comfortable. Our host was great to work with and even gave us a refund on our first night because we weren't able to make it because of car trouble. We would definitely stay there again.

Incredibly charming and comfortable gem!

We absolutely loved this place!! The owner has done an amazing job making this completely adorable house your home away from home. We came for our anniversary and the second we stepped foot inside we were impressed. Rustic, well cared for, clean as a whistle, has everything you need, and has all the little touches that make a rental special. From old light switches to decor that add character. Forget a basic hotel room, rent this place. It was very easy to find, central Blanco. We used it as a jumping off point to Fredericksburg and surrounding area with incredible value for your budget and had that extra X factor making it a special stay. Many thanks to the owner! VRBO never disappoints :)

Ethyl’s Place at Christmas

Oh my goodness! What a charming property. I had mentioned to host when booking we would be there for a fiddle performance and contest at the 10th Annual Festival of Texas Fiddlng. Deb left a stocking filled with treats for my little performer with a note wishing her well. The cottage was clean and decorated for Christmas. My children loved the tree and oorch decor.

Very easy to get to. Loved all the antique furniture & nostalgic decorations for the Christmas holiday. Kitchen was very roomy , but would’ve been nice a slightly larger convection/toaster oven to cook our breakfast casserole in.
