「I hope this review will cover the upgraded property we got due to an unexpected water heater malfunction at the property I reserved in Birch Bay. The house was perfect for my family's gatherings to celebrate my father's 90th birthday. It was very nice that my parents could use the main floor bedroom/bathroom and not need to use the stairs for the lower and upper levels of the house. 「Owner is friendly and communicative, room is clean and minimal but does lack places to hang things up or organize your belongings. The bed is very firm and the pillows are pretty flat so I would recommend planning for that if it's something that would bother you, or, ask the owner if they have any other types of bedding (I just didn't want to bother them for such a short stay). Otherwise it's great if you're just trying to find a spot for the night.」

「We enjoyed an extended stay at Cowboy Cabin. It was great being out in a rural area, and we especially enjoyed watching hawks, swans, and other birds in the marsh across the street. The on-site staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Just know that this is an older building with dents and bruises, and the heating system could use a little attention. I'll bet kids would enjoy the cowboy decor and plenty of room to play in the large living room.」
