"We were surprised to find that guests have to pay an additional fee for parking.
The building is quite old, so the ventilation wasn’t great and the room felt quite stuffy. Even though it was already the end of August, the room still felt quite warm and poorly ventilated. At night, there was also quite a lot of noise coming from the hotel kitchen downstairs, which was quite disturbing.
Apart from these points, the staff were all very nice and friendly."
"The room was clean and staff all very pleasant.
The breakfast selection was poor for fresh fruit and only had tinned pears available. The hot food to order was lukewarm which was a shame.
The car park was very wet and puddly in heavy rain. It would be nice to supply an umbrella for walking from reception/dining room/bar if you are staying in one of the outside chalet rooms."
"Good location in the center of town. Parking is behind and in front of the hotel. If you have a large car, it will be a challenge to us the rear parking as there is a narrow archway (we were driving a tiny sub-compact and still had to pull the mirrors in).
Dinner and breakfast was good. Typical UK fare."
"We enjoyed our stay at this attractive historic hotel. Close to the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed and about 20 minutes from the zip wire attraction with lots of options for walkers and hikers. We thought it was a little overpriced; our room was fine though not very large and the view from the small window was of a wall. All meals are served in the pub and a range of pub type meals was available. The hot breakfasts were good but the continental options were limited. Lots of parking and plenty of covered tables outside for fine days."
"We had an apartment separate to the main hotel, absolutely fine for what we wanted.
Added bonus was that they had 3 EV chargers in the car park 2 of which werent working the first night, but after reporting this they were all working for the rest of our stay.
Only downside was the car park was not very big, one night we had to park outside in the road as there were quite a few MG sports cars (3 of which were parked in the EV charging bays annoyingly)"
"Hotel is undergoing refurbishment. The rooms were clean, the staff very helpful. The food served in the restaurant was lovely. Excellent base to visit the delights of North Wales. I would definitely return."
"We were welcomed by the owners with clear communication. The price was perfect for our budget and we were extremely happy with our stay for the one night. Thank you and we will see you again."
