It was a phenomenal location and everything we wanted to get to was very close by. They also had a great restaurant attached to the hotel that made it easy in a pinch. Also its lower level entry is super convenient to arrival from the train station, literally across an uncrowded Market Street. Wonderful rooms with sunlight, tastefully appointed. The timely limited access will soon be fixed by a second elevator being installed in the hotel. The staff was always helpful (though the laundry lost two of my dress shirts). "Property is located at the bottom of castle hill. Very good location but a lot of steps up to get to the Royal Mile where the main attractions are located. Note that the hotel does not have AC in the rooms. However, they provide a fan that does help. My guess is that normally this is not a problem, ..."

"Overall a disappointing experience. Only nice thing was the convenient location. When we arrived with 3 heavy bags, the lift to carry the bags up was broken.
