"It was clean and quiet "

"We enjoyed our third stay at The Country Girl Cottage over Easter weekend. The cottage is clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and decorated with antiques and other quaint, cozy decor. The surrounding gardens are gorgeous including many varieties of hostas and Japanese maples. The owner/host is most welcoming and helpful. We will return again in July!"

"This was a cute little spot within a quick, 5 minute walk into Black Mountain. We had everything we needed for a family of 5 to have a home base for hikes that was extremely convenient to everything in town. "

"The room had been remodeled to include a fresh paint vinyl plank flooring. However, the bathroom shower/tub was moldy, and the front door didn’t lock securely. The walls are paper thin to the point where you can hear full conversations in the rooms next to you. Not great when you have amorous neighbors. The parking was easy since it’s a drive up motel. The front desk staff were very nice. The clientele that frequent the hotel are scary. Would not recommend for a solo traveler and really wouldn’t recommend for anyone."

"The place was so clean, and perfect for us. The soaking tub was fabulous, and super clean. Mary is lovely and left us a bunch of nice things just to make the trip a little easier! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a small but gorgeous place to stay. "
