"This is a beautiful rental property. The view & setting is wonderful & very private, entered through electric gates. Ample parking & lovely big terrace with outdoor table. The lane to the property is unmetaled & a farm track but it's not very far from the road so did not pose an issue for us. Property itself is lovely, well maintained & everything you could need for a holiday away. All very clean & tidy. I would highly recommend."

"I absolutely loved staying at this cottage. It was so homely, beautifully decorated, very clean, extremely comfortable bed and had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect everything on our doorstop. Would highly recommend to anyone and would definitely book again. The only issue I had was contacting the host prior to the booking. But we managed to speak to Skye cottages eventually and was able to ask the questions we had."

"We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

10/10 Excellent

"This is a delightful hotel, located close to the harbour and sea front amenities. The cliff setting gives outstanding views over Torbay, with panoramic windows in the restaurant and the bar area enhancing the experience. The breakfasts have an enormous choice and the food in the bar and the restaurant is excellent. Despite being an old fashioned English grand hotel, it is modern in all respects, gives excellent service and is competitively priced. Though it is 160 years old, so probably takes a lot of maintenance, everything was good apart from a few creaky floorboards! The indoor swimming pool is very good, with a steam room and jacuzzi to enjoy as well. The outdoor pool was closed for repair. There is garage parking opposite the front entrance; there is also disabled parking alongside the entrance, for which no charge is made. I recommend the Imperial highly for its location, service and competitive prices."

"I only stayed for the 1 night after a migraine prevented me from driving home. The receptionist was lovely explaining all the amenities whilst totally understanding how unwell I was feeling. She checked me in quickly and sent me off to my room with some biscuits. The rooms are spacious with a lovely comfy bed. As I said, it was a last minute stay but would definitely stay again."

"The property was what I would expect from the brand. However, as nice as the room was, tne air-conditioning didn't work and I believe the management already knew that but placed us there anyway. A day later, when bringing the matter to the attention of the day manager, we were offered another room which we took and all was fine then. The junior suite is especially nice for 3 people. The sofabed mattress was very comfortsble. The main drawback, and this a big one, is that there is opaque glass instead of drywall in the bathroom which is not at all apprpriate for privacy. I was told that many guests have had the same complaint and corporate has been notified of this. We solved the problem by requesting an extra bed sheet and a roll of heavy duty tape. It was easy to hang up on the glass and made us feel much more comfortable. A very poor design choice by Marriott!"

"The room was clean, bed comfortable, but the room was really hot, even with the fan on. since the room was at the front with one aspect it was very hard to get air into the room and it would benefit a lot from Air Con. Parking was available, but it was additional cost. The breakfast was very good value."
