We had a pleasant stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry. The hotel was comfortable overall and the breakfast was very good, with a good selection of options for the family. The main downside is that the hotel feels quite dated in places and could benefit from some refurbishment. The gym changing room was particularly disappointing — it was very small and the floors were not as clean as we would have expected. Unfortunately, this put our children off using the leisure facilities. With some investment in updating the hotel and improving the cleanliness and size of the gym changing facilities, this could be a much stronger family stay. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and found the staff and hotel pleasant, but the leisure facilities could definitely be improved.

Room wasn’t cleaned properly. Bed was way too hard and sleep quality very poor. Staff generally very good. However restaurant manager was arrogant. Place is looking very tired and needs refurbishing. Especially the spa. At over £200 per night this place is taking the mickey! Would not stay again.

The grounds outside where nice. The staff at check in where pleasant. Our room was a nice size but very dated. The furniture was dated. The bathroom was nice. We had to make our daughters pull out bed ourselves. Our room smelt musty and alot of lights and sockets just didnt wotk which was very strange. Probably wouldn't stay here again because of the room

Beverley at reception was fabulous, warm welcoming and we couldn’t have asked for a better check in, what a credit to the Hilton. Super clean, comfortable, great amenities. Spa has a good sauna and steam but overall vibe not really very spa like, swimming lessons going on and no sun loungers

Large, spacious hotel, staff were friendly. Room wasn’t the quietest, could hear neighbouring rooms’ toilets flushing, hairdryers being used and doors banging. Did put a request on our booking that was ignored and were charged a ‘service charge’ without my permission on a food order I made at the bar on some light bites, so basically paid nearly £5 for someone to bring it from the kitchen!
