"Found the cabin on the second try, it’s hidden in plain sight, right off the road. Hosts provided welcoming touches like a personal sign and flowers. It’s a basic setup much like camping and we brought some basic kitchen stuff and lighting devices, which helped. The stream was full and flowing fast and loud, but subsided over time. "Beautiful little cabin in a lovely secluded location. Clean, comfortable, extremely quiet. The only issue we found is - the hot water heater is horribly undersized. Any more than one 10-min shower and you’ll be taking a COLD shower! Lovely retreat for a couple, but a shower together? Out of the question! My wife and I took AM/PM shifts on the 2nd day after it took my breath away on day 1."

"Not only was the space perfect, but the owners made it that much better. Across the street there is a creek that is so fun to play in. They have an outdoor cooking area that protects you from weather but is so much fun to cook on. The screen room is for games and the humming birds are so silly to watch. "Although the cabin was not cleaned before we arrived, the Vacasa cleaning crew came right over after we called. They said it was a scheduling problem that caused them to not have the cabin cleaned before we got there. I would have expected a proactive call to let us know about the problem and for them to have corrected the schedule before we got there and called them about it. Vacasa is also refunding us our cleaning fee."

"We enjoyed our stay at the cabin--everything was very clean and well organized, with coffee and tea, all the utensils and pots one would need. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of towels. We especially enjoyed the fact that there was a fire pit--lovely for a warm evening. We were able to get back and forth to Colby College in 30 minutes and had dinner in Skowhegan."

The cabin was extremely clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot, and the views of the lake can’t be beat, and the location of this cabin is also ideal- it was close to many hikes, and extremely close to the local grocery store and all the restaurants."

"Not only was the space perfect, but the owners made it that much better. Across the street there is a creek that is so fun to play in. There is a fire pit outside and an abundance of nature. The outdoor shower is relaxing too. The beds are so comfy and you have everything you need inside that place. We will be coming back here, again. & again and again. This place was exactly what I needed to clear my headspace. I’m so glad I did. My kiddos loved it also. They have sheep and chickens. They have wilderness for days and everyone had an absolute blast! Thank you so so much!"
