We did not stay at the hotel for the following reasons:
First Impressions: Upon entering the hotel, my family and I were immediately struck by the overall atmosphere, which felt dreary and poorly maintained. This initial impression raised concerns about the quality and comfort of our stay.
Condition of Facilities: As we walked to our assigned room, the condition of the hallways reinforced our concerns. The carpets were visibly stained, and the lighting only emphasized the worn and neglected appearance of the property.
Room Quality: Upon entering our room, we observed that both queen mattresses were sagging significantly. When I sat on them, I could feel the springs, indicating they were well past their usable life. The chair in the room, while visually acceptable, also lacked proper support and comfort.Due to these conditions, my family was not comfortable staying the night. We chose to book accommodations elsewhere for the duration of our visit to Montana. I did speak with the front desk and was offered a different room, which I appreciated. However, the issues we encountered were not isolated to a single room—they reflected a broader lack of upkeep throughout the hotel.
The condition of the mattresses, in particular, is a fundamental concern, as a hotel’s primary purpose is to provide a restful night’s sleep. Additionally, the online photos and the 3-star rating were not representative of the actual experience. For comparison, we stayed at a nearby SpringHill Suites.
