The property itself is beautiful, the area felt safe and the owner communication was timely and informative. No complaints at all, we’d love to come back if we ever go to Big Sky again!
We enjoyed our stay and it was very comfortable for 5 adults. The property was exactly as described and provided us with easy access to shopping, dining, and Big Sky for skiing. The wildlife was abundant and we even had an up-close visit from a fox one evening.
We stayed here with my adult children and used the townhome as a launching pad for skiing and exploration of Yellowstone in winter. It is cozy and has a bathroom off each bedroom which is nice for getting ready. Beautiful place. Would return.
Just a short drive to the Big Sky resort. Clean, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a fireplace with wood provided. Nothing like a warm fire after a day on the slopes! Great place to stay.
Great location and access to amenities. Only drawback is hot water for showers. Only one person could shower at a time to get access to hot water for the whole shower.

Great location and neighborhood. 10 minute drive to big sky resort. Only downfall with the house was the lighting was very poor, so much so, even my 6 year old commented on it. The bathrooms didn’t have good lighting for showering. The bathroom with a tub on the second floor would run out of hot water fairly quickly which didn’t make it comfortable for the kiddo to bathe. The bedroom also didn’t have an operable fan which for a Texan, air flow is nice to have. So this made for sleepless nights.
We really enjoyed our 2nd stay at this property. It's close to Town Center and Ousel Falls. Staff was responsive to our changing travel plans. Plenty of space to spread out and a lovely living room to relax in together.
Condo is spacious and management company was great. The kitchen had everything we needed. We stopped at Winco in Bozeman for groceries leaving the airport. I highly recommend doing that. Excellent selections, prices and open 24 hrs!
This home is absolutely spectacular and served as a comforting end to our very busy days hiking several trails in the area. Bedrooms were very cozy . The whole house is beautifully furnished and felt like home away from home. Though an issue with the water heater meant no hot water for day 1, the folks in charge responded immediately and the issue was resolved quickly. Would definitely stay here again.
The townhome was great. Only one issue, simple fix. I would like to see more and or better kitchen knives, also a few more skillets/pots of different sizes. Other then that the stay was great and everyone had a good time.
This is a new condo not too far from downtown Big Sky and about a 15 minute drive (at most) to the ski slopes. It's clean with a modern style. It's ideal for 3 couples or a small family. It has every amenity you could need. It's also a short walk to the local bus stop, if you prefer not to drive. The property managers were helpful and ready. It is always nice to stay in a new place!
We stayed at the property in February while in MT for a ski vacation at Big Sky. Great location with short drive to the mountain & access to village. The description was accurate, but didn't really relay how spacious and nicely appointed it was. Plenty of linens, great pillows and bedding. We cooked several nights and found everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of space for everyone together in common areas, and roomy bedrooms if someone wanted some space. With each bedroom having their own bathroom, it was really easy to manage having multiple families together. Loved this and definitely recommend -- really easy to work with and very responsive to questions before and during booking. Thanks again for a great stay!
Rented for our family of five to enjoy a ski trip together. Appears new, represented well in description and pictures in listing, well equipped. About a 15 minute drive to the slopes. Heated garage was appreciated but unfortunately could not fit the Surburban we had rented because a refrigerator limited the length of vehicle that could be accommodated. Only one parking space in the driveway, so two long vehicles could not have been parked in the entire area.

The 3rd bedroom did not have a closet. That was very inconvenient since we brought a lot of clothes on hangers!
The lighting in the 2 upstairs bathrooms was less than adequate! In fact, the entire home had bad lighting.
Some of the dishes were not adequately clean.
We could have used more towels. One hand towel and 1 washcloth in each bath was not adequate! Overall, we were a bit disappointed!
Overall Satisfied, but with One Major and a Few Minor Issues
Overall, we liked the unit and would probably stay at Firelight Cottages again. The condo was very clean and well appointed, the kitchen big and airy, and the beds/bedrooms spacious, well-lit and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and modern (the two sinks in the master were welcome).
We loved seeing the lone moose (or elk) wandering around the compound. That’s not something we tend to experience in New York City.
We did have a few issues, mostly minor, detailed below:
Hot water was a big issue. Our unit is a 3BR, which would mean 6 people, although we only had two couples (4 people). Initially, the first person in each bath got a hot shower, then the next a cool, tepid one. Not fun after a day of skiing. We called maintenance and the situation was marginally improved but was not completely fixed. After the maintenance visit, the second person to shower in each bath had to be quick as the hot water would run out. It’s hard to imagine this being acceptable with a full house of six people.
This is minor, but the coffee filters provided did not match the actual coffee maker. The filters in the unit were the Mr. Coffee type whereas the maker itself takes the triangular #4 filters.
Again minor, but more cleaning supplies in the kitchen would be nice. We cleaned the stove, counters, etc after every meal but the products provided were nearly empty.
A broiler pan is needed in the kitchen. We couldn’t use the outdoor grill (see below) so broiling in the oven would have been the next best option.
Wood is provided for the fireplace, but no kindling. Getting and keeping a fire going without some small pieces of dry wood was a challenge.
The patio was not clear of ice. There was a shovel in the garage, but nothing to break up the ice. Also – and more importantly – the ice/snow on the roof overhanging the grill on the patio looked dangerous. We didn’t use the grill because of this as the possibility of a large amount of falling ice and snow didn’t seem worth the risk (I understand shoveling roofs is a hassle, but breaking up the ice dam over the grill would probably solve the problem).
