Top Big Run State Park Hotel Reviews
Lakefront, Pet Friendly w Firepit in Quiet Cove
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful house, great location in quiet cove of the lake. Good communication from host."
Lakefront w Dock Slip, Hot Tub, Fire Pit
8/10 Good
"Our family of 10 chose to stayhere for a week. It was quiet and secluded. The photos depict it accurately. The kitchen and Rec Room areas were well appointed. The bedrooms were a good size and beds were comfortable for the most part. We used the outdoor seating area everyday. The kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. FYI, firewood is not provided. We bought a boat and used the community dock daily for fishing and tubing. However, the path to the dock was very steep and the partial handrails and steps were in bad disrepair and dangerous. It was very difficult to carry fishing gear and needed boat items. Half of the path to the dock was dirt and very slick after rain. Some had to be picked up at the Marina which was inconvenient. We wish we were better informed about this challenge involving the use of the dock."
Butterfly Suite-Enchanted Elegance near DCL/Wisp! Fireplace! Meadow/Forest View!
10/10 Excellent
"This is our first time using Vrbo and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place. The hosts were wonderful and our living arrangements were incredible. I will definitely return to this beautiful place in Western Maryland."
The Board Room-Enchanted Table Meadow. Near Deep Creek Lake & Wisp! Forest View!
10/10 Excellent
"This property offers great scenic views of the countryside, it was clean, well kept, and offers a good amount of space for family outings."
Access Lake from Cozy Seclusion- 3 Acres, Private Trail, Canoe - Sleeps 6-8
10/10 Excellent
"I really enjoyed our stay here. We were four adults and fit nicely even with one bathroom. The beds were perfect. I normally leave vacation with a sore back but this time I didn’t. The beds were nice and firm but not uncomfortable. The location is more remote but a short walk to the lake where you’ll find a canoe. I loved sitting out by the fire pit and going for walks around the woods. The state park is 7 miles driving and everything is super convenient from this location. I would say when driving around to look out for the deer. They are everywhere during every park of the day. I would definitely stay here again!"
Private Indoor Swim Pool,Hot Tub, Free Golf & Mini Golf, Tennis, Fire Pit
10/10 Excellent
"It was a wonderful rental for families. The house was great but what made it really awesome was the mini golf, pickleball, par 3, catch and release pond. The kids also loved the pool is was the perfect size for our four kids."
2 Adjacent Houses Rented Together!!
10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely time with our extended family. It was helpful to have two kitchens and adjustable air conditioners for various family members. Rustic charm with upgraded amenities made for a comfortable stay. Our dock was very close to the lake and our older generation was able to watch from the screened porch and enjoy the fun!"
Minutes from Deep Creek Lake, Located on 24-acre farm with private 1-acre lake
10/10 Excellent
"I spent my 55th birthday weekend with my grown kids and grandkids. 10 of us fit in the house with a family sleeping on each level. The majority of our time was spent outside enjoying the pond: fishing, swimming, kayaking and the fire pit. The kids did play a few of the board games and put a puzzle together. We had 3 pickup trucks and an suv parked on driveway lane so there was no issue getting around each other. The house sits at the back of 20 acres so the noise from the rental does not affect the family that owns the place, I asked! The shelter is a nice addition although we didnt use it. It is better than the pictures show. The trash bin is located out the driveway away from the house so we just took a bag with us when we left to go somewhere.A tree limb fell off before our arrival but someone came to clean it up shortly after we arrived. We talked to Ken briefly while he was cutting the grass. He answered any questions that we had and said that we could message him if anything came up.We dont usually use the washer and dryer while we are on vacation, but this time we did and were thankful to have it. The kids in and out of the water all day made many dirty clothes and they needed fresh clothes by day two. The pine needles are impossible to keep off of the floors with kids running in and out but I did my best to clean the floors before we left. I didnt find the mop or vacuum but there are brooms and cleaning supplies on the main floor thankfully. We all loved it."
Mountain Air, Hot Tub & Game Room Bliss
8/10 Good
"The home and the outdoor space/garage were not up kept to match the description and pictures online. The outdoor space was the real bummer because we were excited to make s’mores and enjoy the hot tub."
