"I was there for 3 days for a work related event. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They greeted me warmly and when I asked for bag storage on arrival, they got me checked in super early. The food was delicious - both at the event and at the onsite restaurant. Nice meeting rooms. Super comfortable beds and bedding. Very little hallway noise and no noise from adjoining rooms. My stay was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. "
"The rooms were nice. They seemed clean and well-maintained. My only complaint with the room was the mold on the bathroom ceiling that has obviously been painted over numerous times. There is no fan in the bathrooms, which would have been helpful as it got quite hot in there with the shower on (and would probably help with the mold issue).
I did have two issues while staying here. One was with check in. Check in supposedly started at 4. We arrived close to 5:30 and were told our room wasn’t ready due to “linen shortage.” We had to wait in the lobby with 4 small children and all of our luggage for our room to be ready.
The other big issue I had was with the pool. It was very small and required reservations, which we were not notified of. The only reason we found out it required a reservation was because of a small sign posted outside of the pool alerting us to such. The reason we booked at this hotel was because of the pool, but it looked nothing like the pictures and was too tiny for all of the people that were in it.
Overall, staff was great. Room was nice. Pool and check in were not so great. "
Residence Inn by Marriott Baltimore at The Johns Hopkins Medical Campus
4/10 Poor
"Bathroom was not handicap friendly (no bars in shower), floor slippery and it was a handicap room. Valet parking never showed up the next morning to retrieve our cars. We were told security would get our keys and we could walk to the parking lot and find our cars . I said, no. Where is the parking lot? Where is my car? Other than that, staff that was there, was very nice."
"Parking is easy. The WiFi is ok. The staff is amazing. All rooms are cleaned on a schedule and not everyday. Breakfast is not good but you’re better off ordering out. There is no ironing board in each room. They have mouse traps under the beds and around the hotel and yes I saw a mouse in my room. Once it ran out I put something against the doors to keep it from coming in. I guess for the price you get what you get. I guess I’m just paying for the room itself and not the amenities. This hotel has connections to programs so at times you’ll see a lot of people coming and going. They have events mostly on the weekends but it doesn’t bother may stay as I don’t hear any noises. "
"Super easy communication, accommodating and fast responder. Property was exactly as listed. Only downside for us was the location wasn’t walkable to much, but that’s not on the property owner and the price probably reflects that reality."
"Upon arriving at the property I reserved for the weekend, I was shocked to find that another party was already occupying the space. This not only caused a major disruption to my travel plans but also created an unsafe and distressing situation for me as a woman traveling with my two daughters. The owner never responded when I needed assistance I even had my groceries for the weekend delivered there and they had to be thrown out bc the hotel could now accommodate the food. Below was what I seen when I arrived "
