"The R R hotel, was In a perfect position for our trip to McLeodgang, been a 10 minute walk into the small center. All male staff were very friendly, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. "It is a very pleasant property. We had a good stay with kids. We had some issues like - wifi connectivity is rooms was not consistent and some work was happening around the property , and felt a tad bit unsafe for kids to play around. But Greta staff and goood rooms."

"The hotel did not switch on generator for about 3 to 4 hours at night when regular electric supply was disrupted. On complaining ,the staff said that as customers did not request for generator supply, they did not switch it on. Their position was that now since you asked for it, we shall switch the generator on whereas it should have been a matter of routine in the event of power disruption. Secondly, regardless of discomfort & disturbance to guests, continous hammering was resorted to at night from 2230 hours onwards for about an hour or so. It is not understood why construction work has to be done at that time. Thirdly, the hotel should employ a trained South Indian cuisine cook--- the breakfast served of dosa , tomato & coconut chutneys & sambar was pathetic & totally substandard."

"Dinner buffet is really good. February temperature in the room with central heat was good. Hot water - plenty with central heating. Rooms are cosy and clean. Lobby, hallways not heated in the winter (story of the whole region), so you are stuck between room and restaurant. Upstairs is a nice bar on the roof top with pool table. Very quite in hotel. Nowhere to walk from it, hills are steap- in the same.time it's a great location - its peaceful . You need to take taxi to main Street and Dalai Lama monastery (500 rupees). Swimming pool is unusable. Not heated. Cold. Breakfast buffet was good."
