"The Bastion is located in town, almost next to the John Frost Bridge and the Catherdral and about 10 mintues walk to the station. The staff were always really helpful and friendly. We had a great room with lots of space at the rear of the property and it was very quiet. I'd definitely recommend for a handy stay. "

"Great hotel, super comfy beds, cleaned every day. Just felt a little pushed out due to being English whilst trying to get a drink at the bar, the locals like to push in and you get ignored. Apart from that, would definitely recommend and will go again. Thank you. "

"Excellent hotel, good location, room large, clean etc. Also possibble to open window not normally available in modern hotels. Our experience for pillows was not what we enjoyed but that was personal taste. Only improvement would be to supply toilet paper that does not feel like sand paper, I expected better. Mention for Naomi in bar and restaurant, excellent customer skills, friendly and smart and great brand ambassador."
