Nice and neat hostel with lively people around the reception area. Playing music, snooker pool and others. It has a lot of young Gen Z who make it a lovely place. I loved my 3 nights stay definitely going back.

Elevator was not working. Bathrooms were not working. Coffee machines were not working. Check-in was a hassle. I complained to reception on several occasions to fix the bathroom but it wasn’t taken care of the entire floor smelled like poop. The entire staff was rude and not helpful except for Basem and the Kind Indian girl at the reception. My stay was very unsanitary and I would never stay here again. I request a refund.

Wonderful couple of nights in Berlin

Great stay in this hostel for a couple of nights. The ambiance is great, very lively. The rooms were comfortable and bathrooms clean. The staff are friendly, I had no issue getting help and they were ready to go out of their way to help me out. I loved my stay here, I highly recommend this hostel.

Good price for what's being offered. Don't expect super luxury, but just a decent room with a nice shower and okay beds. In the lobby there's plenty to do, even if some things (pool table) might need replacement. My kids and myself had a great stay and would probably stay here again if we ever visit Berlin again.

A bit disappointing

We had booked 2 nights but when we told when we arrived that we have to check out at 10 and check into new room because the made a mistake… so we had to gather our stuff and move??? We wished that the hostel had announced that they have construction workers in the building using electric tool and making ALOT of noise from 7 in the morning. We DID NOT get to rest and get up when WE wanted to.. and that was the whole pilling with this vacay… found trash in the bunk bed, no bedsheets or nothing in the bunk bed and could barely close the door to the toilet?

A&O Hotel Review** If you're looking for an affordable stay, A&O Hotel delivers on price, but there are some trade-offs to consider. The furnishing inside the rooms is entirely metal, which might not be ideal for families with young children due to safety concerns. Additionally, the hotel tends to be very busy, which can make for a lively but sometimes overwhelming atmosphere. One notable drawback is the elevator situation—there's only one, and it's quite slow, so expect some waiting time, especially during peak hours. If budget is your priority and you don’t mind these inconveniences, it might still work for a short stay.
