"This little place is a hidden gem. The new owner is a very nice person. She is getting the property back into shape but the rooms are great. Clean and quaint. I would stay here any time I’m through. The value is well worth it. "

"My daughter-in-law suggested that we celebrate every birthday here when we were getting ready to leave. We loved the hot tubs, the sauna, the speakeasy was so much fun for the kids and it was within walking distance to everything. We will definitely be returning."

Historic William Smith House - Pets | Grill | Creekside | Wifi | Deck | Fire Pit
10/10 Excellent
"We had such a lovely time! The house was modernized & full of fun things to look at and to do. We took full advantage of the games & books available."
"My fiancé and i had a wonderful time here. right in the heart of Berkley Springs, is is convenient to shopping, galleries and the famous hot springs.
Tom was a 5-star host! He greeted us at the door, guided us to room and couldn't have been nicer, more friendly or professional. We both felt like family here.
The room was elegant, with a gas fireplace, comfortable four-poster bed, and private bath.
Breakfast was wonderful, off a patio where Tom grows some of the veggies that find their way into our omelets. Tom, it turns out it's also a great cook!
The establishment has a lot of religious artifacts on display, part of a vast collection assembled by the previous owner, Maria who used the building for a restaurant. Tom and Marie, his wife took over after Maria couldn't run the restaurant and turned it into a B&B.
I do recommend this property especially compared to the traditional chain hotels in the area that charge about the same price for a whole lot less ambience."
