"Otter Sight" Riverside Cottage - Just Steps from the Deschutes

Welcome to "Otter Sight." As you walk into this quaint riverfront cottage you immediately see an incredible view of the Deschutes River that's otter this world. You couldn't get any closer to the river without getting wet.

Otter Sight sleeps four with a queen bed and a trundle bed that converts into two twins. It has a kitchenette with a microwave, mini-fridge and stovetop. Cookware and dishes are provided. There's one full bathroom with a shower and tub. The large riverfront window is tinted for privacy. Outside the window is a man-made spillway that creates a beautiful water feature. Two sections of the window open with a screen so you let in the sound of the rushing river.

The Bend Riverside Commons Condominiums line the Deschutes River and are directly adjacent to Pioneer Park. You have plenty of room to stretch your legs on our grassy patio or in the park next door. Take the riverside trail north or south for a refreshing taste of the outdoors. The proximity to downtown Bend cannot be understated. You can walk to numerous restaurants, pubs and downtown boutiques in under ten minutes.

Our property does include an indoor heated pool which is open daily, so be sure to pack those swimsuits!

Basic cable will be provided in the rooms, that means your basic set up of analog channels. You are, however, most certainly welcome to bring your own streaming device, all tv's in our units are flat screen with HDMI hook ups. (HDMI cords not included in room)

Fun Getaway

We had a nice stay at the “Otter Sight” We loved seeing the river out the window and the convenience of walking to downtown. The place was clean, the bed was firm, and the shower was powerful. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice addition as well.

Great View, Great location!

The sound of the river is so incredibly relaxing and the view only adds to the experience. We never had to drive once we parked because the location is just a short along a beautiful riverside trail to the tons of great locations downtown! Would happily stay here again, great place!

Otter Sight rental

Clean, comfortable and plenty of room for us two. Kitchen was well appointed for a studio apartment. Scenic, peaceful and convenient downtown location on the Deschutes walking/biking trail. Excellent value. We hope to be welcomed back.

This property was in an amazing location, close to downtown and shopping. The view of the river couldn’t be beat. Only complaint, the bed was rough . Felt like we were sleeping on a straight box spring, no mattress. Otherwise great rental, and responsive hosts.

Very nice location - exactly as advertised. River view just outside the window (didn’t see any otters, but saw a blue heron). Quiet, private - even though River path goes right in front of the window. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location

The location for walking is great - easy walk into town or out into nature. Only recommendations would be to replace the mattress on the bed - not very comfortable and an extra blanket for the trundle bed - a half quilt and a throw not enough. Otherwise the room has everything needed for a few days or even weeks.

Right on the water with wonderful walking paths right out the door! The unit was well stocked. The communication and system for check in was excellent! Adding An extra blanket for the unit would be nice. The bedding could be replaced. It is a bit tired. Overall I would return and recommend it.

Great spot!

This place was very close to perfect for our family — close to a park, access to an indoor pool and a relatively well-equipped kitchen (knives were dull and the stove was a little slow to heat up but we found everything else useful). The view was spectacular and the beds were comfy. And I’ve never had a smoother check-in experience. Really my only complaint was that the floors were really dirty. We take our shoes off inside and everyone’s feet were filthy just from walking on the floor. I would definitely stay here again (maybe BYO swiffer?)

Wonderful Location , Needs to be cleaner

Loved the location , so convenient and beautiful . However the floors were filthy !! And the pseudo nightstands were super dusty and I had to clean myself . Also , should have real and sturdy nightstands instead of wobbly makeshift tall lights with shelving. Could also use a bigger vanity with more counter space . That could’ve made a big difference . Plus perhaps a King size bed ? There seems to be room for that option .
