From the moment I was picked up at the airport with a sign bearing my name (an unexpected and thoughtful touch) to the moment we checked out, the entire experience felt magical. I was celebrating my birthday, and everything about Fort George Hotel & Spa was perfect: the aroma walking in is hypnotizing, before being embossed in the chic and modern and calming aesthetic. The hotel’s minimalist, zen approach made it feel both luxurious and peaceful. The welcome Hibiscus drink was incredibly refreshing and set the tone for a relaxing stay. The staff was outstanding, professional, accommodating, and so easy to interact with. I was seriously impressed with the service. The Welcome on the TV screen with my name on it was cute as well. Everything during my stay was amazing, and the staff went above and beyond. They were always polite, helpful, and ready to suggest things to do and excursions to try. Special thanks to Kelsie who organized my birthday decor with my friend. The room was decorated with colorful balloons and a beautiful cake. It was so thoughtful, personalized, and an element of surprise as I walked in after breakfast. The Treehouse restaurant served up amazing drinks and food, all cooked to perfection. Kaylon introduced me to the Passion Fruit Michelada drink and Limoncello shots they were smooth. Notable the Limoncello was his signature craft on the bar I think that is a great incorporation for the hotel for inclusion of the staff expertise and makes it exclusive.

All was good. Need to remove the door closer on for the balcony. It does not permit to freely use the outside. One note. In the men’s bathroom if you use the wc the light turns off as the sensor is only for the common area. Need Towle hanger in the bathroom of the rooms.

If you’re travelling on your own this area is safe and very friendly. However, the hotel does not seem to care about your safety as a young person travelling on your own. I was told by the hotel staff that if I was not happy with paying the rate for shuttle transportation, I could find my own with the locals. This is not something you want to be told once on site. Yes, I ended up finding locals that could transport me to the airport but I believe the hotel should be concerned about your safety as well. Other than that, the property is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and warm. The treehouse restaurant has amazing food and the locals were great.

I had a king bed with a balcony. I spent a lot of time looking and listening to the waterfall over the pool. It was so peaceful. The restaurant on site was expensive. However, I learned to walk to walk to their popular restaurants in the area. I wasn’t saving money by doing so, but I wanted to try various places. Midpoint was the restaurant I enjoyed the most. The shopping in the area wasn’t so great, but the hotel is right by the Belize sign. The property is newly renovated and I enjoyed my stay.

The main hotel, lobby, rooms and common areas are beautiful. Lovely restaurant on the premises. While the pool area was nice, the actual pool was somewhat small. Overall the staff was helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed our week in Fort George Hotel. The entire staff was super pleasant: Special thanks to Jolene, Kelsie and Josein at the Front Desk. Special thanks to KeHiana from the Treehouse Restaurant; all of the food on the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu was delicious. One note is that my sister did want to use the Hair Salon and no one was available and the salon was closed. Also, there was no one hired for the Tour Assistance Concierge, but the Front Desk reps were more than happy to give us information for tours; however, it's important to note that any tours booked from the hotel come with an additional service fee that makes the tour more expensive than we expected. The only additional note we would add is that there is active construction going on, but it was not noisy nor did it disrupt our stay.

The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are nice, it has a nice gym area, and a pool area as well. The attached restaurant had really good food. There is nothing to do around the hotel. We walked a couple miles in each direction and it's just construction and homes. Nothing to do. So it seems it is just a nice hotel if you plan to go to the islands the next day.

Excellent stay with warm hospitality—just one disappointing interaction My family and I stayed at Fort George from July 2–5, 2025, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, the location is ideal, and the staff throughout—from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping—were consistently friendly, professional, and attentive. Their hospitality truly made our stay comfortable and memorable. We especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and had several great meals at the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience ended on a less positive note. On the morning of our departure, while waiting in the lobby for our 8:30 AM airport taxi, my wife was approached by a man (who we later learned was the hotel manager) who asked if we were waiting for a tour guide. She explained we were waiting for our driver. After hearing the pickup time, he checked his watch and said, “So about 7 minutes,” before walking outside. A few minutes later, my wife was standing by the door when he returned at exactly 8:32 AM and remarked, “It’s 8:32, he’s late,” in a condescending tone. She explained that the driver had contacted her and was running a few minutes behind. The tone of the exchange felt unnecessarily critical and made us feel rushed out at the very end of an otherwise pleasant stay. Overall this is a very nice property. The area its in is something to be desired meaning had I known, I probably would have picked another place to stay.
