This hotel is considered 5-star, but it acts like a 3-star, especially the pool area. It's just really a country club that happens to have hotel rooms because there's no regard for the hotel guests. The chairs are pressed together, literally pressed together. There's no regard for personal space. People have kids' classes going on all day long, and today, to top it off, they have construction. The room smelled musty, and I'll have to say that the food in the dining room, although it has a lovely setup on the balcony outside, is very expensive and beyond mediocre. The place, in my opinion, is way overpriced. At $500 a night,I expect a lot more, and I've seen a lot more for $500 a night. I'm surprised that it gets booked so often because, at one point, somebody's got to step back and say, "Enough is enough."

The property is gorgeous and so relaxing. The staff were excellent and gracious. The pool is sparkling clean. Although I didn’t eat at Dinah’s Restaurant, it smelled good and the food I observed on peoples plates looked delicious and beautifully presented. I wanted so much to give Dinah’s 5 stars. However, the room I stayed in, 308, was overpowered with mildew and musty odor. It was because of the old filthy carpet. The room itself appeared to be clean and updated- except for the old musty carpet. It was a bummer, I got really sick from the mold and mildew. Had to keep both doors open- a chair wedged in the front door to keep it open, and the sliding door open all night to try to get some fresh air. Got no sleep and had to cut our getaway short and head home. In closing, I will say- If the carpet was removed from the rooms, I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I truly wanted to give 5 stars 😢

The location is beautiful, but the property (rooms and spa) felt like they needed a decent upgrade/remodel to be the luxury destination this place is chargin
