「This was a very unexpected and wonderful experience. The location is in a very small town. Make sure you use google maps or you might go to the wrong location. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. The husband is a chef and will cook you an amazing dinner and they have wonderful wines from their vineyard. The vineyard is operated by their twin daughters and it is a great story. If you are in the area this is definitely the place you want to stay. 」

「This trip just keeps getting better and better! This is NOT a hotel. It is more a resort guest house. Complete luxury with a setting in the hill/mountains of the Douro valley that is right out of movie setting.
Friendly helpful staff always eager to help. The room was luxurious, the included breakfast was just out of this world. Off season prices made this incredible place even better! The only reason I gave it 5 starts was because 6-7-8 were not available!」

「This was the best hotel in our Europe tour. Villagge where hotel is, is lovely, small village in the middle of mountains. Room had it's oen kitchen so I could made my own breakfast, which was good cause breakfast was served starting 9.00 am .. I wake up at 4.30 so I couldn't wait that long to get something to eat. 😄 I will come here again.. loved it!」

「We received a very warm welcome from the owners, even though we arrived later than planned. We were able to enjoy a toasted sandwich in the peaceful garden. The house itself has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms are decorated with great care, maintaining the old style yet offering all the modern conveniences. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh rolls, homemade jam, and lemonade. A place to return to!」
