"The hotel was the best hotel I've stayed in the last couple of years. Staff was polite and prompt, breakfast was served perfectly with all cooked with organic ingredients. Dinner was an amazing experience as it was fine dining with very tasty food and served by professional staff from the restaurant. I would definitely stay in this hotel again for my next visit to the Frysland."

"In the middle of vacation it is obviously busy. Most guests are families with kids that creates a noisy and busy atmosphere. For a 4 star hotel a bit "cheap", but for families with kids it must be really nice. With I guess 600-700 guests you feel a bit like cattle, but basic issues like quality of the beds and nice bad/shower/water pressure/airco are nice! Decent breakfast, but again, busy in top summer time, which is expected."

The restaurant and breakfast room are located in this ‘castle.’ The rooms are located across the street in a new-fangled room complex. The rooms are modern and functionally furnished. Unfortunately, the bed which was shown at the time of booking was different from the beds available when we reached the hotel. We booked at this hotel specifically because we thought there would be one whole, solid double bed. Instead, the bed was made of two single beds pushed together, with no mattress pad on top.
