Yeworthy Eco-Treehouse

The Yeworthy Treehouse is a stunning eco-friendly, off-grid retreat set amongst the tree-tops and above a private lake. The cozy treehouse comes with a log-burner to keep you cozy and enjoys breathtaking views from the balcony. The surroundings are completely secluded and perfectly private - you will only have the birds and wild deer who roam the forest as neighbors. Guests can also enjoy the use of the summer-house, perfect for BBQs in the summer months, and the rowing boat on the lake.

The tree-house is eco-friendly and totally off-grid so is perfect for those looking for a peaceful and undisturbed stay. The treehouse has a double bed with plenty of comfy cushions and pillows while the log-burning stove means you can stay warm and cosy, even on the colder nights. Logs can be purchased from the owners upon arrival for £5. A kettle can be boiled and basic cooking can be done on a 2 ring gas-fired camp stove, complete with kitchen utensils, pots and pans to rustle up a meal.

Fresh water is provided for guests from a water tanker. The private, eco-friendly, sawdust toilet is in a separate structure nestled amongst the trees.

Please note there is no shower facility and guests will have to bring their own towels.

The surrounding area is rich in wildlife, with regular sightings of deer, badgers, beavers, kingfishers, herons and bats. In springtime, Canadian geese also return to the lake to raise their young, making it a particularly special time to visit.

Guests will be met by the owners who will transport you down to the treehouse in a jeep. Guests will have access to the jeep for the duration of their stay.

The Yeworthy Treehouse is a perfect getaway for those who want to get back to nature, sleep amongst the stars and enjoy the peace and tranquility that the setting provides.

Please note: From October 1st to April 1st each year, the boat will be out of commission and unavailable for guest use. This will be an ongoing seasonal closure each year. This property is for adult guests only. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone under the age of 18.

Our 1-night stay at the Treehouse was exactly what we were hoping for — a peaceful escape in beautif

Andy was a great host, showing us around and lending us a 4x4 to get down to the place. We really enjoyed rowing around the man-made lake in the row boat provided.

Lovely nights stay in the Treehouse.

Peaceful, private setting in lovely surroundings. Great hosts who were really helpful (letting us borrow their 4x4 to get down to the treehouse was really handy!) would definitely reccommend.

Absolutely beautiful

Absolutely beautiful. Completely peaceful. The lake, river and forest were all fantastic. We took the boat out and srifted around, looking at the scenery and the birds. We saw hundreds of baby frogs, bats and a deer. Our Basset Hounds had an amazing time too! The host was great. Really down to earth, honest and helpful. We will definitely be back, hopefully soon.

We had the loveliest 2 nights in the treehouse. Andy was incredibly helpful and kind at check-in. The treehouse had everything we needed and the lake-house is where we spent most of our days! Beautiful surroundings and complete peace - we could actually switch off for a few days! Would love to come back.

Amazing stay location and stay! Completely remote and beautiful. Perfect for getting back to nature. Hosts super friendly and accommodating. The boat was out of action which was a bit of a shame for us but still had a fantastic night in the tree!

Perfect retreat away

Andy and Caroline were the perfect hosts. Answered all our questions about the history of the treehouse. If you want a relaxing night away in complete nature, no signal or Internet. This is the perfect stay for you. The log burner kept everything toasty even till the next morning - long after we let it go out. Waking up with the view from bed was awesome. Finest Retreats made it really easy to get all the information we needed.

Perfect place to stop on the way back from our busy Cornwall holiday.

Pictures don’t do the treehouse justice, we are already planning our second trip there. Being in the woods was the perfect location for our little cocker spaniel to mooch around in, she was living the dream. The drive to the treehouse was through beautiful countryside but the tranquillity of the forest and the nature once you are there is unbeatable. Andy, our host, was personable and friendly. Clearly very passionate about the land and the treehouse. Thanks again Andy!

The tree house is beautiful and rustic its lovely and warm with the fire and retains heat.

Richard met us and drove us down the track to the tree house, the path is bumpy but he let us use his car to get down there. The area is all conpletely private it is STUNNING, you have access to the boat but it is as your own risk. There is a little summer house and plenty of places to sit and appreciate the surrouendings. He provides logs and fire starters for 5 pounds cash. There is no electricity so bring a power bank with you. Looking up at the stars at night by the lake is a wonderful experience. Thanks so much for a lovely weekend!

This was one of the most wonderful places you’ll ever visits, it was the perfect treat for my partne

This was one of the most wonderful places you’ll ever visits, it was the perfect treat for my partner & I. It’s set in a beautiful backdrop of blue bell filled woodlands, fantastic views from the tree house, down to the lake and beyond. Lots of animas living peacefully in the surroundings which was a such a welcome change to hustle and bustling sounds of city life. The tree house itself was was incredible. Big comfy bed, log fire & all amenities need for cooking, relaxing ect, everything set for two so really romantic spot with a balcony to sit and drink and eat breakfast on if you didn’t go choose to go down the river and lake house with games and camp chairs which was also perfect for relaxing and having so much fun late into the night . We used the row boat more than once, and again in the morning before we left because we just couldn’t believe how tranquil a place we were in. And last but not least the owners were fantastic, start to finish :) All so easy an ever so welcoming! X

This was our second time to the tree house and we loved it just as much as the first time.

It was raining most of the time but it just made it even more cosy. We loved exploring the woods and being at one with nature. The host was very welcoming and kind just as we remembered from last year. The tree house is so special to us and we will certainly be visiting annually. Being completely cut off from the rest of the world is just the best therapy and in the most perfect setting. We can’t recommend this enough to anybody who is looking for that peaceful escape and to be at one with nature. Thank you ever so much for having us back, and we’ll certainly be seeing you next year. We really enjoyed our stay at the Treehouse

We really enjoyed our stay at the Treehouse. The treehouse itself is very well built and was clean, with everything you needed for the stay. We bought logs for the fire from the host but could’ve done with a few more to warm the cabin in the morning as it was cold and frosty. The Treehouse so peaceful and in a beautiful location and well and truly off grid. Only small downside for us was that we hadn’t anticipated the time it would take to check-in, as we had to drive slowly down the track in the host’s 4x4 a few times so the sun had set by the time we could finally relax and enjoy our surroundings! Communication with hosts was really good and I would definitely recommend!

A little peace of heaven on earth.

The host is very friendly showed us around the place, offered us use of a 4 x 4 truck but used our own still but it was still a lovely gesture and a great accommodation to have available to us. I absolutely loved going out on the row boat on the lake. The geese were so cute and I loved having a bit of a back story on them. The woods are beautiful and I enjoyed finding rope swings and chairs near the river which was a cute touch. The whole place is just beautiful. We will definitely be back for a longer stay! Honestly i'm not sure there is much that could be improved every piece of it is part of the experience of being off grid and it was just a lovely stay. My partner would of liked the option of curtains but I thought it added another layer of beauty opening your eyes in the morning straight to the beautiful view.

When the world gets too much, this is the antidote!

Great host, perfect setting, beautiful surroundings, no one else to spoil our peace and quiet, nothing but the sounds of nature to sooth our souls and calm our minds. We have already booked our next stay at this wonderful location! We can’t wait!!! 10/10! It’s perfect how it is, the only change I’d make is to seal up the toilet shed so it’s out of the elements as it’s a bit cold on ya bum at night! oh and a wood fired hot tub would put the cherry on the cake . It’s our new favourite destination!!

Thanks for everything Andy honestly loved it, and love the story behind it. He would be proud 😊

The tree house was absolutely perfect, absolute bliss surrounded by nature, and ever so peaceful. All you can hear is bird and nature sounds, you’re literally tucked away in the wilderness amongst the trees. There’s a stove to keep you warm, the wood is provided by the host at a small cost, making the cabin ever so romantic. The lake across the treehouse harboured a couple of geese at the time we went, they’re quite friendly and add a little bit of company. Andy was super friendly and helped us through the check in and access procedure. You can tell her and his partner absolutely love the place and are committed to sharing this with couples in need of peace and wishing to reconnect with nature. It was also refreshing to experience something less formal and down to earth, from the hosts to the actual tree house. We’d love to be back !!
