"The room was comfortable and clean, with a kettle provided for tea and coffee, which was great. The only thing missing was guest toiletries — cotton pads are always handy. I usually bring my own, but on this occasion I had forgotten them, so they would have been a nice addition. Breakfast offered a decent selection. The egg option was scrambled only, but I was told that if I wanted something different, they would make it. I would suggest adding a second tea/coffee station, as there was a queue every time. The location of the hotel was great. We were there for a show at the Hippodrome, and it was only a 10-minute walk. Would not hesitate to stay here again. "

"The breakfast was fantastic, fabulous choice of food and juices; staff were so helpful and attentive. Spa was a welcome treat, after a day of exploring the city; again, staff in spa were so helpful. Room, as rest of hotel, was spotless. The windows were rather old and hard to open ( to air the bathroom, after a shower), but the building is relatively old. The private parking was expensive, but only a short walk from the hotel and we knew the car was safe and secure. All in all, a wonderful stay at The Gainsborough, will definitely return; was a wonderful experience. "

"Great stay at this property. The room was large and nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. A very modern bathroom although the extractor fan could have been more powerful to dry the bathroom. We couldn’t work out the air conditioning but it wasn’t too warm in the room. It was quiet at night and the curtains made the room dark so easy to sleep. The staff were very friendly and we had a cooked breakfast the next morning. The location is great and only about a 10 minute walk into the city centre. The property also had free parking which was a must for us. "

"My partner and I were impressed with the Moxy for the budget price we paid, room was clean, quiet (road facing) and had style. We didn't opt for the breakfast so cant comment on that, but not far is the 'Crafty Egg' an independent cafe, really good."
