"Location was great, right downtown on the beach. Property is dated but room was clean and updated. Fitness room is useless, no weights at all just a bike and elliptical. Couldn't get a workout in. However they have a couple different bars if you're in to that. Price was okay. Disappointed in lack of amenities, doesn't cost that much to add a set of dumbbells and a bench or two. Saying you have a fitness center is a stretch."

"It was a nice stay for us. The rooms were clean and safe. Good sized refrigerator. Also had a microwave although we did not use it. Nice TV. The pool and hot tub looked good although we didn’t use it. The breakfast was pretty basic, was really just waffles for heated food, but served the purpose. Michelle at the front desk was excellent to work with. We actually stayed one more day than we intended just because we liked the hotel and the town. For the money, we would definitely stay again."

"Room was very clean as well as the entire property. Spacious room and comfortable bed, pillows are small and not comfortable. The portable HVAC unit placed on the wall beside the bed up near the ceiling is a terrible design. The HVAC unit blows air directly onto the bed throughout the night, there is an ability to adjust the angle of the airflow however it always dropped back down to directly onto you in a few minutes. The internet is more of a trickle of internet, 3-4 mbps is not ok, constantly had to reconnect. Nice property overall, well designed, just some details that we did not care for."

"We just returned from staying at this beautiful property. We had 14 people, 6 adults and our grandkids ranging from 22 down to 12. Everything was perfect, you couldn’t ask for more! Jimmy & Rachelle are the perfect hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed. The house was spotless and check in was a breeze. Great lake for swimming, boating, kayaking and fishing. Walk out the door and the lake is right there. I highly recommend this property!"

"Small cabin with beautiful backyard and surroundings, very quiet neighborhood, one of our most peaceful stays, biking trails right from the door, and the river is right there too, liked all the Amish businesses. Will make this cabin a annual trip."
Cottage right on the AuSable River in charming Mio

"Really amazing location on what is effectively a lake because of the dam a couple miles down river. We arrived on a Monday and didn't see another person on the water the whole day, though Tuesday and Wednesday saw a little boat traffic. The paddle boat was defunct as far as we could tell, but there were two kayaks, which we prefer. The hot tub is nice, with a string of lights to plug in in the evening and a great view of the lake. We enjoyed Mio and made use of the Hinchman Acres boat rental to take an 11 mile trip (the shortest they offer!) down the Au Sable, but we enjoyed our time paddling around the "pond" just as much."
