"Friendly and responsive staff. Clean room. Lighting in room is rather bright. Smoke detector "low battery" chirping began at about 5 AM, had to address. Overall good place to stay!"

"I gave this hotel a 5 star rating because the staff is great, the location is amazing, the hotel was neat and clean. My slight hesitation was that we were on the ground level and when we checked into the hotel and tried to go out on our beachfront balcony, there were two homeless men yelling and fighting. That is NOT the hotel's fault but it gave me pause because I wonder if a vagrant could break through the glass but maybe the hotel has security patrolling or surveillance. I never asked....

The building - from the outside is in need of some repair - which the owners appear to be making. It is a very old building with a lot of interesting history, which Jay - the manager explained to us. "The Cottage is part of the hotel, with access to its facilities such as the swimming pool and free use of bicycles and beach equipment. Its location is excellent for restaurants and for the beach. "
