What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. The home is charming and beautiful. The room was perfection and the grounds were such a surprise. I had no idea they were world class manicured gardens complete with a labyrinth! The breakfast prepared for us made us all feel at Home and was delicious! I wish our stay could Have been longer. I would love to stay at this beautiful property again.

Flott baseng. God utsikt. Hyggelige folk der,god service. Kun frokost her.

Estuvimos 3 noches. Repetiría seguro! Ojo, no hay restaurante en el hotel!

Wonderful place

This is a gem of a place. The room is well decorated and beautiful and the bathroom is perfect, large and well done. The gardens are magnificent and so well tended, make sure you see them and walk through the maze, the owners are available and extremely hospitable, the breakfast was a fabulous mix of delicious food and coffee. It is a wonderful slice of history. While the location is a bit remote and restaurants are no closer than 15 minutes, the owners have prepared a pamphlet of where to go, and since we arrived very late in the evening they called ahead for us to get a reservation. We were told they have concerts there for the locals, and I wish we could have been there for that. Highly recommend this wonderful place.
