Fred was very friendly when we checked in. We were so happy with our on-site parking, and 100m walk to see Notre Dame & restaurants. Our 2nd floor room was so beautiful and the balcony was lovely. The breakfast was perfect - coffee, amazing croissants, French cheeses, bread & jam, fruit and cereal. We wish we stayed longer! Next time!!

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Fred. He made us feel very welcomed and that he was happy to have us staying here. Breakfast each morning was beautifully displayed and offered a perfect variety of choices. We were sad when we had to check out.

Le Castel is situated in a great spot to get to if you arrive by train to Bayeux. It is only about 10min . It is located to Vieux Centre ville/ downtown , steps to the Bayeux Cathedral and restaurants. While location was great- our room needed better ventilation ( it was musty smelling) and the carpeting was quite soiled. The room needed updating overall. Our TV did not work, there is no mini fridge and no shampoo/conditioner. Also note- there is no air conditioning. It does have some charm being built before WWII, and so we can not expect modern day amenities. However, the room could’ve used some updated carpeting, shower needs better updates/shower head etc.

Such an elegant historical stay. Host was very friendly and informative. We had a lovely balcony room with views of the beautiful cathedral. The perfect B&B!

This is an awesome B&B. The room was perfect, comfortable and roomy, with a nice deck and great view of the cathedral. The breakfast was amazing with good company and food and wonderful service. Easy and inexpensive parking, as well as convenient walking to sights, food, restaurants and entertainment make this the perfect location in Bayeux and the city is a perfect location for access to the best Normandy sights.

Quaint house with nice staff. Room was great. Limited checking time 5-8pm with no one there prior to drop luggage. Breakfast starting at 8 don’t work for our tours that started around that time.

Lovely stay at Castel Bayeux

The guest house is beautiful and service is excellent. Colleen was friendly and welcoming. Parking at the guest house is 9 euro/day and breakfast is included. Rooms are nicely furnished. The location is excellent - easy walking distance to everything we wanted to do in Bayeux and an easy drive to Normandy beaches.
