St George Cottage

Charming 1890's historic cottage in the heart of Old Town Bay St.Louis just two blocks from the marina, restaurants, shops, parks and the beach. The home has original hardwood floors, 10 ft. ceilings, an open living/dining room, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a private back porch.

This cottage on St. George is one of the few side hall cottages in Bay St. Louis and was built in 1890. The cottage is within the boundaries of the Bay St. Louis Historic District.
The space
There's a bat house located in the side yard and at dusk you don't want to miss the spectacular view of the exit of over 150 bats into the night!!!
Guest access
You will have full access to the home. The key for the back door also accesses the small shed located in the back yard. You will find some beach items there for use such as an umbrella, chairs and a small ice chest.
Other things to note
There is parking space available to accommodate only two (2) vehicles.

I don’t think you could have a much better location. You can walk to multiple restaurants, bars, and shops in downtown BSL in less than 10minutes. We drove to the beach in about 3 minutes. You could walk to beach but we had too much to carry. Surprisingly quiet being so close to downtown BSL.

This cottage is adorable and decorated beautifully. Convenient for walking to all of the shops and restaurants. Only comment (and has NOTHING to do with the cottage itself) was we were awakened by a barking dog next door at 6:45 a.m. on our first morning followed by the lawn service folks outside the next morning with mowers and weed eaters. But again, not a deal breaker...would stay there again!

Pirate Day in the Bay

This is the second year in a row we have stayed here for the Pirate Day in the Bay event. The cottage is located perfectly to old town and is always in the best condition. The owners are great and responsive to all needs. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Girls weekend

We had a fabulous stay at this cottage in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The neighborhood is so coastal and cute. The old house was very comfortable. Though the floors and beds squeaked, it just added to the charm of this house. The kitchen and bath are fully stocked. Plenty of bed linens and pillows. I would definitely return here if I make it back in the area.

Cute Cottage with Great Location

Cottage was perfect location - close to all downtown shops, restaurants, and beach, yet the street was really quiet. It was a great experience staying in a heritage style cottage! And we thought the bats were REALLY COOL!!!!

Weekend get away

I loved this property. The house had so much charm. Loved the wood floors and the high ceilings. We enjoyed the back porch as well as the front porch. Very easy walk to downtown. Just a perfect weekend.

Lovely Cottage

This is a lovely, eclectic cottage. The owner was wonderful regarding the check-in process and had even some nice treats when we arrived. :-) We were able to park our vehicles and walk to the bars & restaurants. The house has such a cute ambiance & feel that one day we just hung out listening to music and enjoying each other's company. We tried to see the bats but missed them. :-( I would definitely recommend renting here. Thank you, we had a wonderful weekend.

1st Visit to The Bay!
