  • Welcome to Doubling Point Cottage, a charming waterfront retreat where classic Maine cottage charm meets comfortable family living. Overlooking the beautiful Kennebec River and offering views of the historic Doubling Point Lighthouse, this welcoming home is the perfect place for generations to gather, reconnect, and experience the beauty of Midcoast Maine.

Originally built in 1940, the cottage offers approximately 1,700 square feet of inviting living space filled with natural light, comfortable furnishings, and room for everyone to spread out. Thoughtfully designed for grandparents traveling with their grown children and grandchildren—or two families vacationing together—the layout offers privacy, flexibility, and spaces for making lifelong memories.

Upstairs, children will love having their own space with an open sleeping area featuring two twin beds, along with a second bedroom that doubles as a fun hangout room with a pull-out futon for additional sleeping. A second full bathroom upstairs makes getting everyone ready for the day a breeze.

Step outside to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on the spacious deck overlooking the river. Watch wildlife and birds pass by, pick blueberries along the shore, all while taking in glimpses of one of Maine's most picturesque historic lighthouses. The backyard offers plenty of room for lawn games, family gatherings, or simply relaxing while soaking in the peaceful waterfront setting.

Whether you're spending the day building sandcastles at nearby Popham Beach, strolling through historic downtown Bath, or exploring Maine's charming coastal villages, Doubling Point Cottage offers the perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, and authentic coastal charm.
