My extended family had a great stay in this wonderful mountain retreat. The two living spaces were perfect to give the teens (and the parents) the space that they needed. We enjoyed hiking around Lake Laura, visiting White Oak Lavender Farm, and A LOT of foosball and ping pong.
Let me start out by saying, from beginning until end, communication with the property owner was quick and helpful. Every question we had was answered- and more.
As far as cleanliness, you'd never know this home was in the middle of the woods. The interior and exterior were very clean, and the home was bug free. All the beds and linens were clean, comfortable, and inviting.
We played music, held serious foosball tournaments, chatted on the many deck areas, completed puzzles, and just enjoyed the time together. This home just begs you to relax and enjoy your time.
The absolute best feature for us was the outdoor dog run. We were able to let our dogs enjoy the vacation as much as we did. Our city pups sniffed every last inch of the area and even came nose to nose with a deer.
When you decide to venture out, make sure to get breakfast from Fred's Biscuits- directly across from the entrance of Resort Drive. You will not be disappointed. So many activities were available right at Bryce Resort that we ran out of time, not things to do.
We'll definitely be back,
Dave and Tracy
We had two adults and four teens stay for the weekend and there was plenty of space to spread out. The property is in an excellent location to enjoy the Bryce Resort - and the Shenandoah Valley. Lisa was very accommodating and we recommend this property highly!
We enjoyed a lovely weekend with our family & dogs. The house was located in a great location and proximity to Bryce ski resort. And the fenced in yard worked out great for our pups. We would certainly stay here again!
The house was absolutely amazing, it was close to a few things we wanted to check out, food not to far away. Will definitely recommend and be back another time.
Had a wonderful stay with family, friends and our furry friends too. The location is just a quick drive to Bryce, perfect for our ski weekend. Our teenagers loved playing ping pong under the stars next to the fire pit and our furry friends had a blast running through the woods in the fenced in dog run. The house was very clean and well equipped and we loved the feeling of staying in a tree house. We cannot wait to return!

Mixed bag!
House was big enough for four golfers or couples and it never felt cramped. However, the carpets were very dirty, and given our stay was in the middle of July, we were all disappointed the AC was off and the house took forever to cool down. Not a good thing after we all spent the day outside all day. The security refund process was not easy and it took several communications with the owner in order to process our deposit. And, read the fine print in the contract, this owner nickel and dimed every possible fee, and charged outlandish fee for every possible scenario. For example it was $25.00 for a couple dirty glasses in the sink. Not a bad place, but...
Property is tucked away, very private feeling. Nice outdoor space and the fenced in area was great for the dog. Home was very clean, and well appointed with necessities. Pics don’t do it justice! Cozy & comfortable, plenty of space for guests if needed.
The rental process was very straightforward and easy. The owners are very helpful. It’s a great house with plenty of space to spread out. Loved the fireplaces and the protected outside gas fire pit. Great place to catch up with friends and enjoy nature.
We were looking for a nice get away in the moutains and this locations was great! Close to lake laura and various hikes and wineries! The Host was great and very accomidating!
Perfect location for a quick break. Ideal place for all ages. Host was very helpful and had detailed instructions and responded for any queries we had including things to-do.
This home has everything you would want for a rental and more. Very well stocked and organized! Very convenient to Bryce mountain ski resort. Lisa went out of her way to accommodate us at the last minute and was wonderful to communicate with! We definitely will be back. It was just my husband and I, but very good set up for a family or 2 small families.
We had a blast with our whole family. Our pups particularly enjoyed the dog run outside. The house was so close to Bryce, which was very convenient. Would absolutely love to stay here again.
My husband, 2 pups and I stayed here for 5 days. It was perfect for us, but I could definitely see going back with a group of friends as well. The place is spacious and has the coziest living room with a fire place. There’s also a great fire pit outside that over looks gorgeous woods. There’s a super convenient dog run for the dogs to do their business, and it makes it really easy to clean up after them.
I love the location because we came to hike and it’s between two state parks and has hiking right near by too.
My husband said he’d give this place 6 stars if he could. We had a great time and Lisa (host) was very kind and responsive. If you’re heading out this way do yourself a favor and check this place out!
My favorite part of the house was the cassette player and radio wall stereo system. Honestly, the kids had no idea what it was and it was amazing :) The house is extremely comfortable and well equipped. You can turn on the gas fireplace and not turn on the heat upstairs. Lisa made herself available and was always positive. There are puzzles, games, jazz, and warmth. It was a great long weekend for our family.
We had a lovely time as a family. We enjoyed the nearby caverns which were about 20 min. away. Shenandoah National Park was a reasonable 55 min drive and well worth it. The home is spacious and as described. Lisa was a great host and contacted us shortly after check in just to make sure we didn't need anything or have any questions. I plan on returning next summer.
Lisa was easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We found all the rooms very clean & well-appointed with the towels and linens needed for the weekend. We grilled and cooked all of our meals at the house without a hitch. We had 2 families of 4, aged 5 through 9, and a medium-sized dog. We had a great time hiking, canoeing, fishing, and checking out breweries. Renting canoes at Lake Laura was very easy. Family walks through the "neighborhood" were a nice way to cap off our days.
We managed to get 10 friends together for a post-Vaccination weekend getaway, and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. Really awesome space, fully stocked with appliances and kitchen stuff, and plenty of beds and seats for us all. It was super convenient to some local swimming and hiking, and we really appreciated having the dog run for the pooch we brought along.
Would recommend anytime!
We really enjoyed staying at this home. Plenty of space for the family and dogs to spread out. We spent most of our time on the deck or the patio enjoying the campfire and playing card games. The fenced in area was great for the dogs and we enjoyed walking around the community.
Lisa was wonderful to work with in scheduling and was very helpful in ensuring we would have a good experience. We would definitely stay here again.
This was a wonderful place for a family reunion. Plenty of room for our 8 family members to relax. We really enjoyed the fire pit too! A wonderful place to get-away from it all. Thank you.
