Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. "I was contacted by Helen early on my arrival day to say that the property was available and not to wait for the 4pm earliest check in. The House at Pebbles was exactly as described, with stunning views, especially the sunsets over Lundy Island. Lots of interesting walks from the house and nearby National Trust properties and land.Arlington House, the National Carriage Museum were very interesting and the grounds provided good walking opportunities."

"This hotel is in a fantastic location with beautiful walks along the shore. The hotel is clean, sophisticated and comfortable. The staff were almost all very friendly, kind and helpful. The food was very nice - excellent breakfasts especially. The only downsides are that the pool is freezing. Also information on the room specification was misleading ‘shower/bathtub combination’ logically made me think we would have a bathtub with a shower over the top. As a part of an expensive seaview room, I really wanted a bath and the information given made me believe this is what we would have instead of the shower which I found in our room. Otherwise I would not have booked that room. I was told on arrival by the hotel manager that I should have made a special request for this before arriving (which made it seem like this was my fault). She told me that there was nothing she could do about it because they were fully booked and that next time, I needed to request this to avoid being disappointed. No other attempts to make up for this or to at least accept that the information given had been misleading were made. The rest of the kind and welcoming staff and our stay there made up for this rude and unkind interaction and we had a nice time but this did taint the trip for us and better customer service could have avoided us feeling disappointed and told off."

"An immaculate upside-down house giving amazing picture views from each window. A fabulous sea view from the lounges large sliding door with Juliet balcony, allowing us to listen to the waves. Also, views of the downs & valley from side and rear of the property. The Hot Tub was perfectly positioned at the rear to enjoy the scenery.We saw lots of wildlife in the large back garden area including morning visits from a woodpecker and a red deer running through.The property is situated in a peaceful location, just a short walk to the beaches and the villages of Woolacombe and Mortehoe.It was great to meet the host Johnny who was lovely and friendly, he gave us lots of advice on the area and good walking ideas of the coastal routes and across the downs. Thank you Johnny for letting us stay at your lovely property, we didn't want to leave after a fantastic week and we hope to be back in the near future."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house. Location is fantastic with sweeping views of Woolacombe and Combesgate beach and easy access to amenities in Mortehoe and Woolacombe. A short walk to all the beaches. The house was well appointed, comfortable and the views from the living areas and bedrooms were outstanding. The addition of a second large fridge in the utility area was handy. Highly recommend both the house and the location."

"We have just returned from our second stay at Combesgate View and we have had another lovely holiday. The house was beautifully prepared for us and we immediately felt at home and could get on with our holiday. The house worked really well for the four of us and there was plenty of room to relax and enjoy the stunning view of Combesgate beach with its’ amazing sunsets. It’s an easy and level walk into Woolacombe itself and takes about 10 minutes and just a bit longer if you want to go to the main beach but you have Barricane and Combesgate beaches on your doorstep. It’s also a very welcome addition to have a parking space and our car remained unused for much of the holiday. We had exceptionally hot weather and we appreciated the cool temperature in the house. With the window open the main bedroom was cool at night and it was a delight to listen to the tide coming in. We used the fan in the back bedroom for our granddaughters. Holiday home hunter are a lovely company to deal with and I know that if I have a question about the house or the local area they will be able to help as they are local too. I have already booked for next year and hope we are as lucky with the weather as we have been this year."

"We’ve had another lovely holiday at Belmont Court - everything is catered for, clean, bright, fresh and beautiful. Lovely comfy beds, great showers, lovely kitchen with all facilities, great washer dryer and lovely little patio with a sea view. It’s right across the road from the sea so the dogs enjoyed their morning stroll on the grass by the esplanade. It’s also all on one level so was great for my dad who has mobility issues and I easily pushed the wheelchair from here to town - the kids loved the proximity to the beach and the shops. It’s perfect really - we’ve tried other places but we shall be back to Belmont. Always sad to leave. Thank you."
