Good Location vs. Comfort, Noise & Amenities
I’m going to write the review I wanted to read before renting this flat.
I was in a group of 3 staying in Barcelona for 8 days, so the number of bedrooms and bathrooms on the listing was great. The managers are also very responsive and courteous.
The location: Location couldn’t be better. Just outside of the super-tourist area. There are also multiple supermarkets nearby as well as some great restaurants and bars. If it wasn’t for the construction that was everywhere, it can’t be beat. An important note: there is a park right behind the building that is heavily utilized. During active hours there is no ignoring the constant loud noise.
The flat: The flat was clean with the exception of a bucket of wet and sour towels that were left on the top of the washing machine. The bathrooms have been remodeled sometime recently but the toilets are in questionable repair and the shower door in the larger bath kept trapping us and we had to yell to another friend for help. The smaller bath is tiny. The bedrooms are all small and have double beds in them.
The beds and pillows provided are quite firm. This was expected but the linens are extremely scratchy and even caused one of our party to have a rash break out on her face. I recommend bringing your own pillowcases. Entire flat needs new paint as there are scuffs. Needs a new sofa badly. Balcony was awful as the blinds were broken and you couldn't raise/lower them for sun or shade.
Wouldn't stay again in the flat but would in the area.
