Wooded Cottage in Town walking to Marina, Restraunts

#1 Cottage located in the woods on the Quiet side of M.D.I., walking distant to town and the Great Harbor Marina with more than a dozen restaurants in the area as well as the free shuttle bus system (June 23 to Columbus Weekend) to almost anywhere on M.D.I. and Acadia National Park. Minutes to Acadia National Park, hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, mountain climbing, bird watching, whale watching, and much much more.
One bedroom with a Queen bed, sleeping loft with 2 twin beds, cathedral ceiling, living and dining area . Heat pump to provide heat on chilly nights and air conditioning for those warmer days and an electric fireplace. Oak flooring throughout. Fully furnished with most items you will need and on request will try to supply any items you may want. A full wood deck with patio furniture and barbecue grill. A fire pit and 4 chairs in the garden and a seasonal stream area in front of the cottage. We can accommodate as many large groups or family gatherings,(14 people) with our three cottages(Homeaway #956783 & #3498716). Shared laundry with 349816 in a separate building which also has an ice machine and books and games. Pet friendly.

Enjoyed our stay at the little house in the woods. Views were spectacular! Location was fantastic. Only suggestion, it was cold and a heater in the bathroom would have been nice. Otherwise loved the place.

WONDERFUL!!

Our second time here. It is a lovely cottage with great location. After the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor this meticulous and quiet cottage is a perfect place to unwind with a plus of a fire pit with wood provided each day. Highly recommended !!!!

Perfect location

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was quiet, well- appointed and you can’t beat the location. We loved having the balance of feeling that you’re tucked away in the woods but able to walk anywhere to town was a pleasure. Highly recommend Southwest Harbor!

Incredible little cabin in the woods near Southwest Harbor

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Woodland Cottage 3 in Southwest Harbor Maine. It was clean, delightfully appointed, and in a gorgeous wooded setting very near downtown. Great central location for exploring Desert Island and Acadia.

A perfect getaway

A lovely property with a beautiful rustic cottage. The attached deck is perfect to sit, relax, and enjoy the falling leaves. You are only a few miles from Acadia National Park and walking distance from the harbor. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Maine Cottage

We had such a wonderful experience here at the Wooded Cottage. The place was very clean, had great amenities, and was close to everything including Acadia National Park and restaurants. Vicki was very responsive to all of our messages. I would 100% recommend this cottage to family and friends! We definitely plan to come back!

Perfect location and experience

Quiet location in the woods was a wonderful spot to unwind after long days of hiking. Enjoyed the fire pit, exploring the woods, and we enjoyed the uniqueness of an A-Frame cabin in the woods. Vicki was an attentive, and responsive host. Provided us with fabulous hiking recommendations to explore parts of the park we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. We would recommend this property to anybody. Thanks again we hope to be back!

The ideal Acadia vacation with pets

My adult daughter (and our dogs) stayed at this absolutely perfect cottage and enjoyed three days of hiking. The cottage seems really new although the lovely owner said they have been renting for 14 years. It was really clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It feels like you are in the middle of the woods but just a minute from the cute town and a very short drive to all of the trails. There are three rental cottages on the property and would be wonderful for a family reunion or larger group. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!
