Perched on a hill with stunning Blue Ridge views, this home has a deck on both levels and everything needed indoors for a great stay for your family and friends. Step into the open layout with a comfortable seating area along with a bright, fully equipped kitchen with a gas range and wood counters. Open the sliding glass door to reveal the lovely views from the deck, along with a seating area and gas grill. The bedroom upstairs has a comfortable bed and a full-sized bathroom. There is a convenient washer and dryer on site as well.

The lower level features two more bedrooms, along with a full bathroom as well. There is another deck that offers coverage in the event of rain and more stunning views. The shared pool, basketball, and tennis courts are located in the center of the neighborhood! This home is nearby downtown Banner Elk, the town of Boone, Seven Devils, as well as Sugar Mountain, making this a great destination in any season. Enjoy hiking the trails, shopping in town, or wine tasting nearby.

Things to Know
There is cable and streaming available.
There is an air mattress and a twin cot available for extra guests.
There is a brand new Pack and Play and sheets for it (downstairs closet), a single pop-up cot for one person, and an air mattress available.

Location nice. Fair price although…There were clumps of dog hair all over. Washing machine was broken and not listed beforehand. AC unit leaking over couch. There was poop smeared on one toilet. So I had to clean up a strangers poop. Disgusting. I was compensated half the cleaning fee

Overall was a decent place. It was nice to have separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, I just wish the king bed was upstairs in master bedroom. Definitely with having a little one & climbing stairs at midnight! The washing machine was still not repaired. I had read other reviews and the washer was down in June, I feel like it should be fixed by now. The house was clean for the most part, not like I’d clean it but not everyone is like me!! There was some dog hair on the couch that I think a quick vacuum would fix. Each room had two towels and two wash clothes, and a hand towel. The showers had shampoo, conditioner and body wash incase you forgot yours! They also provided a small travel size dish liquid, sponge and two little pack of dishwasher detergent. There is a gas grill outside on top balcony, it was almost on E, but we were able to cook on it twice. It was pretty gross when we went to use it but were able to clean it up thankfully. We use a grill often at home. The house is older so it does have a smell, maybe a few plug ins would help. This home is roughly ten minutes from Boone. Ten minutes or so to get to grocery store, laundry mat and a couple of restaurants and there is a dollar general right up the road incase. Also we drive a larger suv and there was only enough room for it. Balconies could use pressure washing, when damp they were slippery for our little one. We went to Tweetsie Railroad while there. (BR downstairs) tv barley worked, wouldn’t pull up Netflix.

Short get away

We rented this house for a short trip to the mountains. This house is adorable! We were able to park two full size trucks in the parking spot that many were concerned about in other post. Quiet neighborhood and great location for traveling surrounding areas. Property management was great with answering some questions I had while staying at the property!

Dog friendly stay

Overall, the proximity of this property to the blue ridge parkway and Boone is ideal. It is equipped with all of the necessities. There is not any green space for dogs. The sound rules are strict and the street is very narrow as was described.

Great Mountain Weekend Getaway

We had a great stay at Mogul Road Cottage. The location is perfect - you are 10-15 minutes from Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. The house was very clean and cozy, and it did not smell like house that allowed animals. Overall, we had a great experience and would book again.

Worse stay Ever!

Property manager refused to communicate and let us go two nights without heat in 30 degree weather. I had to blow up emails to get someone to respond. The place smelt like dogs have peed all over the house. Half the light bulbs did not work in lights. The place did not smell clean smelt like someone smoked in the house. The beds here are awful. I have not ever felt with people that have been so unprofessional and not care about their guest and making things right for their guest! Do not I repeat do not stay here!Go stay somewhere else that’s worth your money! Vrbo should remove this listing!

Nice little house

The house was clean and well stocked. The parking was no joke. Only 2 cars! The neighbors had more and there was little space to share between 3 houses. Not a lot of room for 6 people to spend hanging out at house, but we only slept there, very comfortably. I would go back.

Great Spot in Foscoe

Great location in terms of proximity to attractions. House was well set up. It would be nice to have more than just salt and pepper in the cabinet but I understand not everyone cooks like my family does. Parking is just as tight if not tighter than described but manageable with big vehicles, just keep in mind it they are mountain roads and you may have to back down some tight spots. My only "complaint" is that I would put the king size bed in the master bedroom up stairs, rather than down stairs, specifically if being used for a family. It would allow the kids to go to sleep down stairs and the "adults" can stay up later with the TV up stairs with dining and kitchen and not disturb the little ones. I would 100% rent this exact spot again with no issue!

Great stay in Banner Elk

This property is in a great location and very comfortable for 4+ people. Everything was perfect except the check in and I'd say checkout too. Vacasa was extremely robotic when I asked if I could check in early, and wanted money for a late check out. This is the only thing keeping me from leaving 5 stars. Vacasa was responsive and had good communication. The house was clean, updated, and comfortable. To Vacasa- I'd recommend a more human approach to guest interactions and less of the "there can be no exceptions" nonsense. Overall, I do recommend this property though.

Good house overall.

Overall this house and location was good. Not too far from trails or shopping/restaurants. House was clean and taken care of. Heating in the house was set too warm for us, but survived. Luckily we only had one car, due to house parking space and others very close by. We drove a sudan type vehicle but sharp and steep turns to get to house, with others vehicles in neighbor not being considerate of everyone else.

Great for families with kids

The house was very well equipped with everything you might need. They even had games, sippy cups, and step stools in the bathrooms for the kids. Good location convenient to many great mountain activities Great water pressure in the showers was a plus. We couldn’t figure out how to adjust the temperature in the house as all the thermostats had tape over them & a note saying not to adjust - that is the only reason for not rating it 5 stars.

Too dog friendly

This house reakes with dog pee/dirty dog smell along with dog hair being all over everything. Could hardly stay in the house. In addition it is right above the dumpsters and they come to pick up the trash anywhere from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. Know you can’t do anything about that but it was unpleasant to be woken up that early on vacation. Most importantly was the stench that we are taking home with us from the dogs.

A nice home and was well ecquiped wiith everything you need.

The only problem was the heat was on a reverse cycle. We were warm during the night and cool the rest of the time. The thermostste said to not touch it. We called called and we were told we could adjust it.

Family Vacation

Great little cottage in a quiet neighborhood. The house provided everything we needed for a long weekend getaway as a family. We were 10 minutes from the slopes at Sugar and 15 from great food in Banner Elk. Would definitely come back to this place. The only small issue we had was the parking was tight for our truck with the neighbors in front of us but a smaller vehicle would have no trouble. Overall a wonderful place!!

Awesome place
