素晴らしくB&B

素晴らしく建物とサービスです。治安があまりよくないと言われているボルチモアですが、球場やコンベンションセンターに近く、全く心配いらない場所にありました。何より朝食は最高でした。

古き良き米国を思い出させる

英国植民地時代はかくやと思わせる調度に、素朴ながら心尽しのサービス。旅慣れてそれなりに英語が話せる人なら、良い思い出になるでしょう。唯一最大の問題は、事前にリクエストしない限りチェックイン時間が15-18時に限られ、現地で使える携帯電話がないと難儀する（家主はこの時間も常駐しているわけではない）こと。

Each year we select a quality and elegant place to rest and reflect on God' goodness and favor to us His servants. This year Rachel's Dowry was our choice. The place is well kept and service from the InnKeeper Linda, along with the food choice and special kindness and secured premises made us feel special and honored. Rachel's Dowry is ranked among our topic pick for bed and breakfast. We celebrated our 40th Anniversary Dec 21, and we thank Linda for making it so special for us!

Linda, the owner, called before our trip to ask if we had any dietary restrictions for breakfast. She gave us a historical tour of the property when we arrived. She was so kind and knowledgeable. The house is so beautiful and well kept. It genuinely felt like being a guest in a friend's home. Also, her French toast with lemon cream is to die for. I am excited to stay here again the next time I am in Baltimore.

Impossible to say enough good things about this delightful gem of a place and the attentiveness of the owner, Linda. I felt like I was part of a little thread of history, and Linda's homemade scones and breakfasts with strong coffee and tea with (again!) homemade cookies made it hard to leave the inn, but I was also surprised at how much was going on in Baltimore! And the great restaurants - Peter's Inn, and the Thames Oyster restaurant were highlights. Fells Point a must.

A rare diamond of Baltimore

Linda was absolutely joy. We were immediately greeted as soon as we arrived and welcomed into her beautiful and stunning home. There were so many amenities and accommodating needs were met. I can’t wait to come again!

First B&B Experience

This was our first B&B experience and we were a little hesitant at first, but we are so glad we decided to give it a try. Linda was a gracious and accommodating host. She was knowledgeable about the local area and the history of the home. She is also an excellent cook! So many nice little touches throughout the home. The accommodations were lovely, spacious, private and comfortable in the Virginia room. I enjoyed the view from my vintage bathtub with a glass of Moscato (liquor store next door was super convenient for making this happen) and the in room robe for relaxing in after. It was a short ride to the inner harbor for food and entertainment. My only complaint would be that the windows were a little drafty, but it is a well-preserved home built late 1700s after all, and the fireplace and space heater in the room solved that problem. Also, we stayed on the top floor so be prepared to climb some stairs - elevators didn't exist back then!

We loved the homey feeling the B&B had, the nice touches of homemade cookies and tea/coffee bar available at anytime was great. We will definitely return to this B&B in the future.

The best B&B experience in ages

This was the best B&B I've stayed at in a long, long time. Not only was the space beautifully and tastefully decorated, but it was clearly cared for and loved. There is a warmth to the entire property that makes one feel welcomed upon arrival, amplified only by the host's gentle attention. I could not have had a more enjoyable stay here and, honestly, I can't imagine staying anywhere else the next time I am in Baltimore. Enthusiastically and wholeheartedly recommend to all!

Rachel’s Dowry Bed and Breakfast

Highly recommend staying here. The delicious homemade delicacies, the atmosphere, and sipping the brandy nightcap in the comfy chair surrounded by books. Now that’s a vacation. Can’t wait to stay there again!

George Washington slept here! It is an historical building in an historical neighborhood. It is within an easy walking distance of the Baltimore convention center. Linda Smith the owner and operator is a wonderful host. She also met my special dietary needs. I stayed for 7 nights and was treated like a king.

Perfect stay for a game

We had an amazing stay! The room was perfect and the breakfast was delicious. I loved the history of the building and Linda did a great job outlining how special the Inn was. Highly recommend if coming in town for a Ravens game, it was a quick and hassle free walk. We will definitely stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful historic bed and breakfast. Location great-10 minute walk to bay. Linda makes a homemade breakfast that is so good.

A gem close to Camden Yards

Linda was a wonderful host at this beautiful historic home. We enjoyed the library and parlor as well as our bedroom. And the carrot cake pancakes for breakfast were unique and very tasty. We hope to return. Thanks again, Linda!

Rachel's Dowry is a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting Baltimore. It's a short walk to the Harbor and to many good restaurants and shopping. The house is brimming with warmth and charm and the owner, Linda, really loves what she does. You can see that in the delicious breakfast and all the homey touches throughout. Can't recommend this place enough.

Great experience, Cozy comfort, Perfect location

My wife and I were meant at the door by the owner Linda! She gave us a quick tour and told us about the history of the Dowry. Even though it was short we really enjoyed our stay because of the hospitality, perfect location and the breakfast was amazing! I can't say enough about the comfort. It was so cozy and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Thank you again and we will definitely be staying here in the future

Best place in Baltimore.

Excellent place to stay in Baltimore. Linda is a great hostess/owner and the breakfasts were amazing. What a treat to stay in a 1798 era home. Very nice and comfortable. Will be where we always will stay when visiting Baltimore.
