"We stayed in this wonderful place for 3 nights and I would have asked to stay longer if we could. This was our first time in Italy and tried to do the whole trip by train, bus, taxi or uber. Little did we know (I tried doing as much research as I could, but still it wasn’t enough) we would have needed a car for this beautiful, little village in the mountains. Da dire che la strada di accesso è pedonale quindi se si ha necessità di avere la macchina a portata non è consigliabile. "Very quiet, but very central location in the historic town center of Scanno. Nice, clean, cosy and still sufficiently spacious accommodation - everything available required for cooking and relaxing. Grocery stores, as well as hand-made cookie & noodle shops and many other shops just around the corner. Only instructions for waste disposal were not exactly comprehensive. We (family of 4) enjoyed staying in this house for two weeks, having a second home and a base for doing spectacular hiking...

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely hotel with a great spa. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Hotel room was small in the European style, but certainly comfortable enough, with adequate air conditioning. There's a large parking lot situated adjacent to the hotel that can fill up on weekends. Breakfast was excellent with responsive staff and a wide selection of continental breakfast fare, There was also a small selection of hot foods available. The grounds are well kept and while not expansive are peaceful. The spa was a highlight of this stay and was very enjoyable. Many restaurants and shopping are within walking distance, but old town is a bit further away, "

Hotel La Villa

2/10 Terrible

"I booked this hotel on 8/10/25 at around 11:30 pm. Hotel was closed when I arrived at 11:58 pm. The hotel has no parking and is next to a bar and not much else. I tried calling from bar next door and ringing doorbell multiple times, but no answer. That in itself was scary because there was just a bunch of men there drinking. They sent me a welcome message at 1:11 am 8/11/25. I didn’t have wifi or cell service as I was visiting from a different country. The bar next door had no wifi and no one spoke English. This place is in the middle of nowhere so I had to go find a wifi and another hotel in the middle of the night. It was a nightmare. I reached out to them by email because they charged my card anyway and they have not replied. I spoke to Expedia, who apparently can’t help me get a refund because no one speaks English at the hotel. "

"We had a good experience staying at the Hotel Testani. The building looks older on the exterior but is completely renovated inside. The staff were great and food in the restaurant was authentic and amazing. The location was very convenient driving through to southern Italy. Grazie. Neilsen and Maria from Canada. "
