"This is a beautiful traditional style French house of the region. It is a bit rustic in places, but absolutely packed with charm and character. The location is amazing - what you see in the photos is exactly how it is. The river is a 60-second walk away with easy access in and out of the water. "First of all it should be pointed out that the flat is in a senior citizens home. Slightly strange but unless you keep very strange hours then it's not a problem. The building is quiet and the parking is covered by CCTV. I|t's close to one of the major roads out of the city so if you have a car it's not a problem. Apartment is lovely and airy (no aircon). "This house in Bègles was perfect for our family reunion. The house was spacious and very well designed. The secluded garden with the pool was in much use when the sun came out. Renée and her brother JanJan were very helpful and accommodating hosts."

"La Demeure Absolutely gorgeous place. Pool lovely. BBQ great. Outdoor and indoor eating areas. Remote location so car absolutely necessary to reach shops ect, and no restaurants close by. Not super flexible with check in time. We were only able to check in at 5pm which seems late, but good communication!!"

"From first contact, Nathalie was extremely helpful, we got a great video for check in as we were arriving very late at night. The wine was great, we know, we drank enough of it!! "Lovely modern hotel with excellent helpful staff. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. While it is convenient for the train station the area is under development so it’s a mixture of new and derelict buildings which didn’t inspire confidence especially at night. It’s quite a distance into Bordeaux centre and the commute wasn’t helped by the trams in the area not running. However, once we understood the bus services we coped fine. Despite these issues would stay there again for the quality of hotel and service."
