8. Baddeck Domes – Glamping in Nova Scotia

Baddeck

「Sadly, this was the most disappointing accommodation of our trip. I had dreamed of staying in a dome for years, and after hearing about friends’ luxurious experiences elsewhere, I was really looking forward to this being a highlight of our vacation. Unfortunately, we arrived to a cold dome with very few amenities — just a coffee machine with three pods and paper cups, a bar fridge, and one small lamp that left the dome quite dark at night. There was no running water, and the bathrooms were a...

9. The Baddeck Inn – Scenic Stay with Panoramic Bras d’Or Lake Views

Baddeck

「We booked the Lodge with a queen bed and indoor plumbing. We were given the Geo dome with no running water, a double bed and outhouses, a hike to running water, which was a filthy communal bathroom. We were in a tent on the side of the highway beside a truck-stop. they gave us a coffee maker, but no means to put water in it. There wasn’t even a bottle of water in the fridge. I would not recommend in fact, avoid at all costs.」
