"Stayed four nights. I had a corner room. I didn't think all noises are coming from hotel guests. It was from drunk people outside late at night. Yes, I am talking around 2 am, the bars closing time. Happened every night I stayed. Bathroom was smallest I've seen. However nice people at reception desk and breakfast buffet attendants made up the flaw. Enjoyed breakfast every morning. I didn't have time to use onsen?big bath tub? I had a hard time adjusting the faucet though. May be it was just me."

"The hotel was truly remarkable! While some areas, especially the bathroom, could use some renovation, it was exceptionally clean, and the view was simply breathtaking. The dinner was an absolute delight! Although I am not usually a fan of rice, it was so soft and fluffy that I could not resist having another bowl. The amenities, such as the sauna and public onsen, were fantastic. If you ever find yourself in the charming town of Tomonoura or even Fukuyama, I would highly recommend staying here. Lastly, the staff and service were truly exceptional."

"Magnificent ryokan experience! Friendly staff, clean private baths, and delicious breakfast. Be aware that no one can wear shoes in the building - they are stored in lockers near the door. It keeps the hotel and tatami mats spotlessly clean. I loved this hotel so much! "

"If you are traveling light, the rooms are passable. If , like me, you have suitcases, the rooms are small. Staff was very helpful. There was one English speaker on staff, making communication much easier."

"I feel bad leaving a negative review because the staff were very friendly, and they were doing their best with limited resources and staff, in an old building. I guess the owner doesn't feel like spending any money on the place. Aside from being sandwiched in between a loading dockyard and massive, smoke-producing factories, the view was nice (if you looked straight ahead). It was an old place, and while sometimes these kind of places from the 70s and 80s can be charming, this one was quite dirty. Our first room was very dusty, and had obviously not been vacuumed. The carpet and sofa were also stained many times over, so much so that we wouldn't even take off our shoes. They gave us a larger room, which we accepted, though this was also quite dusty and had pencil shavings of all things on the floor. I didn't complain again because the lady was so nice and apologetic, but you don't get what you pay for. The curtains were stained gray on the bottom and the place just felt tired. All they need to do is wipe down the tables and bedside shelves before a customer arrives and things would be a lot better. The free water at the entrance was empty, and the bin that collects the used towels in the bath was overflowing with wet towels. The bath was also extremely small, with no outdoor bath. The breakfast was great and the staff was really nice, but beyond that, I don't know what there is to recommend about this place. I can see they are struggling, but that's the truth of it. "
