All is good except that I booked City View but they gave me STAIRS View in between buildings.

Hotel right next to the entrance of universal studios japan, the commercial street with plenty of F&B and the train station to Osaka station. Rooms are big, comfortable and clean. I would stay here again should I visit USJ again.

Overall, I had a good stay at Shinsaibashi Grand Hotel Osaka. The free drink station offering coffee, water, Fanta, and more anytime was a fantastic perk. It was so convenient to grab a drink, especially after going for a run around the nearby Osaka Castle Park grounds (which is a wonderful route for any runners visiting!). Breakfast had a nice variety as well—highly recommended if you want a hearty meal to comfortably power you through until lunchtime. Having an 11:00 AM check-out time was also a plus. It makes the hotel an excellent budget option overall. The downside was the room's humidity. Although a dehumidifier was provided in the unit, it still felt a bit humid at times despite having it turned on. (Note on fees: As a heads-up to travellers, Osaka collects a local accommodation tax—around ¥200–¥500 per night—separate from the hotel itself. Unlike Tokyo, where lower nightly rates are exempt, Osaka's municipal tax applies to most stays).
