The security deadbolt on the rear door is broken.
The house was unlocked when we arrived.
The flooring has holes and seams lifting up in traffic areas that are tripping hazards.
The living room is shown with easy chairs, leather furniture, area rug, and hardwood floors, but has none of these.
The enclosed patio is shown with seating available, but has none.
The deck is shown with table and chairs, but has none.
The garage is stacked with junk, including old appliances and the leather furniture that is missing from the living room.
The microwave was broken when we arrived, throwing sparks and creating a fire hazard. The owner replaced the microwave.
The clothes washer was full of mold and mildew and could not be used.
The dishwasher is full of rust and water deposits and cannot be used.
Bottom line: This house looks gorgeous on the listing, but looks worse than a frat house in person. I don’t mind renting budget properties, I have done it before, and I will do it again. But this property is advertised and priced as a luxury property, which is a serious misrepresentation by the owner. The owner has ignored our request for a partial refund.
The owner/manager was very timely in responding to us, but simply did not care about these issues.
