The room was very small. The name of the hotel ‘The Grand’ BY Sky City is very misleading. Thought we had booked a room at Sky City. The room advertised ‘king’ however we only had a king size bed. We parked at sky city car park but had to walk our luggage through ‘Sky City’ to The Grand by Sky City across a little 1 way street. No kitchen. Had to fill jug with water from bathroom sink. Advertisements are very misleading. Would not recommend for the price at $550 for 2 nights. Have stayed at Quest across the road and got a room that was apartment size for same price for 2 nights in past.

Walkable distance and easy access to restaurants and shopping. However, was allocated a room which had a faulty heating system, was freezing . Reported the problem several time. Was only moved after 4 hours 2230. This was not good enough! We were finally moved to another room. Slow response to rectify the situation made my stay less “enjoyable”. Someone called the next day to apologise.

The room was clean, modern, and well-appointed, with a nice comfy bed. The bathroom was nice, especially having a separate bath. Great location for restaurants.

A bit tired and past its prime … surrounding restaurants and area, very cool.. gyms pretty good .. pool area great .. a bit tired all in all. And different chicken process and service was terrible as well as checkout really unfriendly and impersonal. You would expect much much more from a hotel of this calibre actually anywhere.

Had a great check. Warm and friendly staff. However I dont think this is value for money. Rooms a well worn and tired. One lift is getting worked on.
Just dont see how grand this place is when it comes to value for money. I'd suggest management should do room inspections and see that a little maintenance and touching up would go a long way. (Cupboards squeak ans dont align, paint has worn off in places, walls have lots of marks etc).

Valet quite a problem - couldn’t get the phone answered then when we finally got through nil action to get the car ready. I now have two holds against my credit card for costs. One lift out of order so long wait for lift.
